This was our first time trying Indonesian and it did not disappoint. Everything was full flavor and very light. Nothing was too heavy but we left satisfied. The only downside was the atmosphere. It seemed a little too bright in the back restaurant. It was reduce the lighting over the tables by 50%. Going back to try the coffee bar.

Feels like a big responsibility being the first Google review of this new Coffee Shop and Restaurant in Walnut Creek. So here we go… SanDai & KOPI Bar is really two businesses in one location; a Coffee Bar by Day and a Restaurant by night. This review is for the coffee shop which is open now. It is great to have a new coffee shop near me that provides delicious espresso, like my flat white this morning along with my tasty pastry, which I was told are all made in house. Time will tell if this is this the best coffee shop near me – but a great start after my first visit. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying their unique espresso drinks. Their staff provides exceptional and friendly service and make you feel welcomed.

Everything was delicious. There were four if us so we ordered at least half of the menu. All four of the satays, the stuffed chicken wings, blue rice salad, the turmeric rice and the rice with the fried egg. for entrees the roasted half chicken, baby octopus and the beef Rangoon. all the food was presented beautifully and was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. we also had two desserts, the roulade with coconut caramel sauce and the dragon fruit sorbet with meringue wafers.

Met a friend here for lunch and we split the Gado Gado and Nasi Goreng. The flavors were delicious and not too spicy. Very good sized portions, too.

The food was delicious! Went in with my family (party of 9+) for brunch. We tried a variety of dishes and all of them were delicious. We also tried a few of their drinks. The mimosa wasn’t as cold as I would have liked but still good. Their chicken and waffle with the sauce was very tasty, but I think the burger was my favorite.

Went to SanDai for dinner on a Friday evening. Food was average, but the decor and design choices were attractive, so rounding up to 4 stars.

Nice decor. Changed from Prima days. Spicy mangga margarita- very tasty. A bit much at $15 for it’s size, but not uncommon in WC. Alcohol content good.

Very few coffee shops make it in the bay and this one is in it for the long run. Friendly staff, great coffee, and delicious pastry’s. The aesthetic is there, it gives simple yet elegant vibes. Without a doubt they will open another soon to bring the experience across California and states. I got the kopi avocado and it rocked. 5 stars all around.
