Bar where everybody knows your name. Locals come to play volleyball in one of two courts for the purpose in sand pits (thus the bar’s name). Clean bathroom and friendly bartender. Food is good and fairly priced. In July 2023 the Rensselaer County Libertarian Party hosted Larry Sharpe at this location.

Very nice place. Great activities offered including virtual golf, trivia night, pool, darts, karaoke, drinking and even volley ball leagues in the summer. The staff is great and they keep the place clean. The wings are out of this world good and the owner is beyond accommodating when it comes to hosting parties. My family and I have held a few gatherings there and will definitely be planning more for the future.

The Sand Bar is a fantastic bar. It is run by two of the very best of the best. They welcome everyone with open arms and have had such a positive impact on the community. The service is great, the atmosphere is fun, and you won’t leave feeling disappointed! I’ve had so many great memories there and look forward to a lot more. Not to mention, they are incredibly accommodating to all on so many levels. Lucky enough to be from such a great small town, even luckier to have had the experiences I’ve had at the Sand bar with some amazing people!

This hometown establishment is a warm welcoming bar/restaurant. There is a strong family feeling. Owners and staff are kind and extremely generous when it comes to the good of this community. The contributions that the Sandbar has given to this community are too numerous to list. Great pub fare, great atmosphere, great live music and karaoke. New indoor golf league, dart league, and volleyball league are just a few of the ways that life long relationships are made at this venue.
