Quesabirria is out-of-this-world juicy crispy cheesy and delicious. Fun and friendly staff. Atmosphere is a little rough around the edges but can’t beat the quality and price

TO ORIGINAL OWNERS (2022) Before this page changes to the new owners, I just want to thank the original family who owned Pancho’s Cocina. This past December, I lost my dad to suicide. The day I learned my dad was gone was the last time I got to visit the restaurant in person. I will never forget that day nor the interactions we had and the meals we had. I was in complete shock and devastation, but their wonderful home cooked meals that was made with lots of love and hard work, was special to me. Every time I visited Pancho’s it was memorable, especially with Willy. I will miss this incredible restaurant that has many memories for us. It’s so wonderful to find places that are so family-oriented, kind, and it shows in the wonderful service and meals we enjoyed. Thank you all! ❤️

A very cozy hole in the wall place for Mexican food. I thought that they service was very friendly and that the prices were fair. Got a pork tamale, a full sized bowl of menudo, and 2 Chile Colorado tacos for only $22 pretip. The food was decent and well made and I would come back again!

In name and location only, the “under-new-management” Pancho’s has a new menu with a new set of recipes at a higher cost. Gone is the inconsistent service, but also the consistently excellent food. This had been my favorite place for Mexican food, perhaps for the entire state of California. For $16.40, I received a plate of two enchiladas with rice and beans and flour tortillas on the side. (This included a 3.25% charge for using a credit card.) The chips and salsa are still complimentary, but the chips were stale today, and the salsa came in miniature ramekins. Still no iced tea on hand. I’ll miss the quirkiness, the rich, family-style recipes, and the ability to order lunch portions. For me, the new Pancho’s, while they are friendly and serve competently-made food, lacks the quality of an old family-run institution like the original Pancho’s was. Instead, this Pancho’s feels like just one more pretty expensive, generic Mexican restaurant to add to an already jumbled landscape.

It was a fail all across the board small portions. The food was cold. the beans had no flavor. Then tortillas were handmade. As they got cool they became crackers . They fell apart when you pick them up. I’m sorry but I do not recommend this restaurant . My first time there and it’s going to be my last.

Good food, but one margarita was $15 which was more than the burritos we got. This made our small dinner for two over $60 which it certainly was not worth! I was not expecting to spend that much money 🙁

I will miss ponchos they sold to another restaurant that completely changed everything. When u buy a business that is so successful and the new owners come in and change everything. It does not make sense as a multi business owner my self. While i wish the new owners success , this was an absolutely stupid move. Good bye Mr Pancho you will be missed and it’s sad to see you go. Enjoy retirement.

I could have sworn I posted this already but whatever. The new restaurant is called Sancho’s. I never ate there when it was Pancho’s. I thought the food was amazing. The staff was very friendly, polite and personable. I recommended Sancho’s to all my friends.

My first time and the food was pretty good! I got a No. 2 Combination an order of chips and salsa and a side of guacamole. The chips and salsa were great. Here’s the lowdown on the combination: carnitas taco was the best, but needed a little salt; carnitas enchilada was really good; steak ranchero was also pretty good; Chile relleno wasn’t too good. I’d come back and get tacos and enchiladas most likely. Beans and rice were also good. The side of guacamole was pretty small and the avocado they used wasn’t fully ripe, so I’d pass on that.
