The service was excellent. They were hustling and friendly. It has a fun 50’s vibe. Several marked vegetarian options. I had the veggie fajitas. My husband had a burrito. It was more food than I could eat. Great salsa, average chips. Good margarita. It was Margarita Monday!

Unassuming spot for some GREAT mole! Queso fundido was another standout with huge portions – very generous overall for the price. Honestly, this was some of the best squid we’ve had this far from the coast! perfectly cooked and incredibly tender.

This is a basic Mexican restaurant. My husband loved his combo ($15) of one hard shell ground beef taco and shredded chicken burrito with refried beans and rice. Unfortunately, the red sauce on my shrimp enchiladas ($20) was extremely bland. We were seated at 8:45pm, which I know they don’t love when they close at 9pm, but we were desperate, and they were gracious by seating us without any issues. There were two other tables closing out shortly after we sat. The room is pretty basic, but cute. Good level of music. They have 90 minute bottomless mimosas for $13 with an entree (or $22 without food). I left unsatisfied, but it’s walking distance to our house, so we will give them another try during more prime time…just can’t recommend the enchiladas.

Formerly a Sambo’s restaurant, this eclectic vintage establishment is our new goto Mexican restaurant. The staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable about the long history of the motel and restaurant. Great stories to be told of the visits by the rat pack in the 60’s when it was called the Tropicana.

This place is fantastic! Walking distance from our hotel – Azure Sky – and the food was delicious! I despise tomatoes but their chips and salsa were amazing and the fajita portions were huge! We boxed up half our meals and enjoyed them the next day for lunch. Maria was our server and she was super friendly and provided excellent customer service! It wAs so good we’re going back again tonight!

We were so frustrated with the quality of food and service in the desert that we hopped online and came across San hi’ s and trusted the reviews to try it out… well, look no further we are going to be regulars. Friendly staff, fresh food, wonderful service and extremely clean. Hoping this restaurant gets more publicity because it’s worth it. Couldn’t recommend a better place for Mexican food! Great menu.

Best Mexican food I’ve had in a long, long time! And they make a fantastic Margarita, too. Wish I could have had two, but it was noon

Yes, the decor and atmosphere is A+, as mentioned in other reviews, but the real star of this establishment is their top-notch staff. I wish I could remember everyone’s name but every time I have been there (about four times in one weekend while attending an on-site event) the staff has been so patient, accommodating and friendly. The food is great…fresh and not greasy and the proportions were perfect. The only thing I would change is that their items with shredded chicken breast could use a little more seasoning, but other than that I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough!
