Nothing fancy just your average pizza joint. Prices are reasonable. You park your car and get yourself some slices. If you want you can have a table and enjoy some chit chat with your friends while you chow down. Pizza slices they serve are pretty consistent in taste and texture so you know what you’re getting every time.

The pizzas are great, and still a great value, even after the prices in the area went up post Covid. The Works and San Gennaro’s are my favorite pies. The staff is a little slow and overworked sometimes though.

This is my second time visiting this place. The first time the pizza and the service were excellent. Today, I went to grab a few slices and unfortunately the service was horrible. The guy at the register was first rushing me and then when I was ready to order he told me to wait (as he took care of another order). I finally ordered, and as I was waiting to pay, he decided to take care of the customer behind me and cash him out. I was in the way, so I asked why didn’t he took care of me first since I was first in line and he said that the other customer was leaving and I could wait.

Saturday 4/22 I picked up an order I placed for my family. Medium tray of sandwiches. I asked for some chicken cutlet sandwiches and did not get them. I got roast beef that was grey/brown- cannot describe it. Old I guess. Ordered pasta salad and they used penne and tons of broccoli. Not good. Ordered a Greek salad and they put globs of tomatoes, feta cheese, cucumbers and black olives. The salad was not mixed. I spent $176.00 for this of which I could hardly eat nor could my family. I had ordered before for nursing home where my mom is and it was great! Never again. Waiting to speak to manager tomorrow. I even added a tip to bill. TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT !!!

First time eating at SanGennaro’s was recommended and I was not disappointed. The food was some of the best I’ve had would recommend to anyone in Dobbs Ferry NY area. Prices were very reasonable and ingredients were fresh.
