The food was fairly average, worthy of 4 stars. The extra star is for the hunky waiter. Woof! Service was excellent, and it was nice that there were not many people, at least on the sushi bar side (more people were enjoying the grill). My friend ordered the sushi, and he liked it. I had the NY steak bento.

While visiting from out of town I stopped in for some sushi, couldn’t beat the craving. Their seared tuna was delicious and hit the spot. I’d even go so far as to say as it’s better than my hometown fave. GREAT service, GREAT food. Would strongly recommend to anyone in the mood for some good quality sushi.

Was a bit disappointed that we were sat at a table and forgotten about (never had this happen in a restaurant), as I really like their food and this would have been the second time we came, We were left waiting for an hour from 7 to 8 at our table to never receive our order and left sitting there, had people coming in after us to be served before us, a bit odd since we only ordered two types of sushi, we were only left with one glass of wine and complimentary soup. How ever the staff is friendly and comped the drink and complimentary soup, better luck next time?

3 stars is generous for our experience. They are entirely for the grill. The non grill food and service is awful. For example, the Monkey brains shown here is a ton of mayo on uncooked mushroom with fake crab inside. I’m talking about midwestern amounts of Mayo. When the server asked if everything was alright I had brought it up for her to tell me ‘That’s how it is, unless you order it with no ‘sauce’. Sushi was not great and had to flag down a different server for ginger since she stopped checking in with us after not liking the mushrooms. I could’ve let a good amount of that roll off except she kept acting like I wasn’t there after that. She hands my partner the check, I pay, I hand it to her, she tries to hand the check to my partner AGAIN over my head. I wish we could’ve tipped grill separately. Two very different experiences.

It’s not a bad place to eat. Food was pretty good. Service was pretty attentive. The atmosphere is not the greatest. It looks Japanese and that’s fine but the music played was very mixed. It was very through the times if you will. Also we probably had a bad experience because we sat next to some people that…. We’re kind of annoying. And a bit rude. The soup that you get with the teppon grill was very pig fatty. It was like you were drinking bacon grease.

Wonderful customer service. She was always checking in, very friendly and we got our food very quickly. The food was okay but the minute we got home, my partner and I have had very upset stomachs. We did not eat anything out of the ordinary except Samurai, as this was our first time trying it. We love hibachi and sushi, but after this experience I’m not sure if I could handle going back.
