Overall, a good experience. A cheap salad, very plain l, iceberg lettuce and dressing. That makes you think the rest of the meal might not be very good. But it gets better. I should say that probably depends on your chef. Hope you get Omar. The other has no showmanship and is slow. The night we were ther, they only had two chefs working the room. After the salad, the meal got much better. Food was cooked properly. The time spent there, beginning to end was 1 hour forty minutes. The pricing was a bit high, but not unreasonable. Would be a much better overall experience if they had more staff.

The chef was very interactive and fun, but the food was not the best quality. The steak was tough, and he drowned the chicken in teriyaki sauce, which I didn’t realize is the way it comes. The fried rice wasn’t that great either, but we enjoyed the ambiance and the service by Brittany. They gave us extra shrimp, which was a nice treat. We look forward to trying them again and giving them another chance.

The only reason this place gets even 2 stars is the staff and atmosphere. My mom and I love sushi and saw some good reviews. So we decided try it for lunch. It was awful. All the rolls were falling apart. The rice was not cooled properly and was not sticking. The Philadelphia roll tasted like somone dropped it a bucket of sea salt. The spicy tuna had so much sauce we couldn’t taste the tuna. Never going here for sushi again!

Probably the worst dining experience ever. It took forever to get waited on. There were no tricks or entertainment at the grill. The waitress threw a pen across the room after it quit working. The food, somewhat tasty, was cold by the time the AMERICAN chef cooked the meat. The sushi wasnt very good either. Over $60 for two people. I will not be going back, ever.

We went really late one night, we were the only people there. Sat at the sushi bar and got a few rolls….maybe it was just a fluke but it was the blandest sushi I have ever eaten. All four rolls pretty much tasted the same. The salmon Rangoon were pretty good, though. I think the guy that made our sushi possibly didn’t really know what he was doing. The rolls were loose and the rice wasn’t properly cooked.

I’ve been going here for years, and the food has always been excellent in quality; both the sushi bar and the hibachi grills. The staff is always great! Prefect place to take a date, celebrate an occasion, or for a night out with friends. (Don’t forget to try the house salad!) Two thumbs up for Samurai Chef.

I went Samurai Chef to eat Steak and Sushi I heard it was enough to die for and I found out it was true. It was the same evening the Royals was playing in town I found the bar had a tv so I could watch the game and enjoy the food and the service was excellent The restaurant has enough room to hold parties. There was a birthday party when I was there and the guest seem too enjoying them self So I would recommend for excellent pricing for food and excellent service And if you can not go to the game come to this restaurant and watch it on TV in bar area and eat good with reasonable prices. Say hi to Vicki the owner when you enter the restaurant she is the one with smile I will be coming back for more please join me and rest of KC

Samurai Chef, a FAMILY restaurant. My Fiance and myself have been going to Samurai for 3 years now. The owner and his wife, have gone above and beyond what any other restaurant has ever done. They know us by name, and they honestly do care about their customers. This is our ‘go to’ restaurant anytime we go out to eat.

Omar was our chef and he was energetic and very well versed in his presentation. Very personable! Amy was our server and she was equally as personable. Unfortunately we visited the restaurant on a Wednesday evening and they were out of filet and hot saki, after 1 bottle. Great overall experience- will be back!!

I wish I could give this place no stars!!! ((PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE ))It was absolutely disgusting!! When we got there it was freezing!! The waitress said the heater had been broken but they were fixing it, I assumed it would heat up but never did!! They didn’t have any rice prepared (still confused as how a sushi place has no rice) we literally waited an hour and I’m not exaggerating!! The food was terrible. The fried rice was poor quality, the sushi was not fresh!! I will be contacting the better business bureau!! Total waste of money!!!
