I would recommend. Not a busy place. The dining area has a fast food vibe, but the food in NO WAY resembles fast food!Great food! Friendly staff. Great southern food served hot and ALWAYS made fresh! That is rare these days. It takes a few minutes to get your order, but it’s worth the wait. They have no food sitting under heat lamps to keep it warm until you order it. Food made fresh per order. I will be a repeat customer when I’m in the area.

Well there’s no way to sugarcoat this review, I have never had to throw good food away especially seafood or Cajun. I was in town in Enid Oklahoma for business. Some of y’all know I am the Hotshot Trucking extraordinaire and I travel all across the region, several States and Texas. I like to reward myself what a hotel and a nice meal, sample the local fare, doordash or Uber Eats. On this particular day there was a lot of selection here in Enid Oklahoma, just your Nationals franchises. I saw they had a Sam’s Southern Eatery and gumbo new fried oysters said it’s really good. Wrong. I wanted a good selection it was very pleased when I first opened the tray, I was so excited and hungry. I grabbed one of the fried Oysters and had to spit it out. Mushy, so I tried another, it was dried up inside and black splotches. Really gross, and has me worried that I am going to get food poisoning, yikes. So I thought, at least I have the Gumbo, wrong, it was not hot, gritty and slimy. I love Gumbo and this was the first time I ever threw the whole $8.99 + tax and delivery charges, tips. This is a real shame and waste of money. The fried fish was good, red beans and rice decent. Needed some hit sauce. I keep thinking to myself, dude, you should have known better than to order seafood and oysters in Enid Oklahoma of all places. I’m not slamming the Enid, my wife was born here. I’m just saying there’s no oceans or Seas, only eat fresh seafood. I will post the pictures so you can see what I’m talking about and see I am not hating oh, I just tell it like it is. Peace out

This was a fantastic experience! We ordered the #2 burger basket. These burgers were made with fresh hand packed meat! They were absolutely huge! We will definitely go there again! Sorry the pictures are sideways. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food given.

This restaurant is going to out price themselves…every time we have been in there the price keeps going up. The owners do not know how to give senior discounts nor do they know how to take tax exempt cards…the food is good, I order the 4 piece fish and it appears they have changed suppliers, the fish is smaller than it use to be. There has been several times when I have ordered and extra food is put on the plate…and sometimes food I don’t order. They do not have regular tartar sauce…the tartar sauce they have is a mixture and nasty. We have asked many times for regular tartar sauce and we are always told there would be some next time we come in, this never happens.( So we bring our own in) No regular sugar is put out for the unsweetened tea (which I sweeten my own )because theirs has too much sugar in it. My biggest complaint is the prices keep going up and the discounts we do not receive. The Golden Chick has fish and chicken and is half the price of Sam’s. If you take a big family in Sam’s be prepared to pay a big price to eat.

We had an experience today. I don’t eat fish I always order the #14, the shrimp. My husband ordered the #19 two fish and two shrimp. I had a small drink and my husband wanted a water. She said $27.70. Because I had given her a $20, I had to give her another $20. She gave me my change, I asked for my receipt as I keep receipts. She said she would bring it with my meal, so I said fine. She brought me a 4 piece fish, that wasn’t my order. So she took the orders back, recooked everything. It took awhile. Then we got our order, but there was no receipt. I got too adding up what I paid, I went up to her after and she said you paid $26.70, I said no I paid $27.70. she said no you paid $26.70 and I have over charged you $1.00 I will give you a dollar out of the tip jar then we will be even, because she rang me up for the four piece fish. I get to the car and pull out my change purse, I have a $10 Bill and 2- $1 bills.

Just ate at Sam’s Southern Eatery in Enid. Generous servings and great tasting fish, shrimp and chicken. Fries are really good too. Service was quick and to the table. Very nice!
