The food we had was good and well seasoned. The portions were generous. The food was freshly cooked in good time. My son accidentally knocked off our plates of grilled shrimp before we got to eat any of them and was crying and apologizing. The workers overheard and brought us another plate without being asked to which was very sweet as it was in no way their fault. We would definitely eat her again! We had combo 20 two pieces of shrimp and 6 shrimp and a piece of lemon cake. The only thing I wouldn’t get again is the lemon cake as it looked like slice of store bought lemon cake from a loaf cake it was dense and moist, didn’t taste bad, but it wasn’t worth the almost $5 charged for it.

I just left this restaurant after picking up what I thought would be a quick late night meal. I ordered fried green tomatoes, red beans and rice, and fried jumbo shrimp with fries. My food stinks like old garbage. All the food is soaked in grease. Literally floating in it and falling apart at the touch. I don’t understand how this place is still in business. This is horrible.

Enjoyed a delicious meal! Our server was very nice and helpful with us choosing our dishes. Fish, chicken, shrimp, hamburgers and Mediterranean choices. The portions are large – we ended up with 3 to-go boxes! Go check them out, you won’t be disappointed.

The waitress was friendly and attentive. Let’s talk about the food…the fried shrimp was decent enough for me to be content. The fried chicken strips were bland. At least the fried stuff were crispy, but it lack season and favor for this place to be called “Southern”. My husband did not like the gumbo. The fries were overly seasoned. The “cheese sticks” (Mozzarella sticks) were average and tasted like it came from a box and cheese wasn’t melting out of the pouch. The burger was decent though. We are from the south, so the meals were disappointing to us.

Where do I even begin?? My chicken livers were half cooked and half raw!! I took a small bite of one that was more cooked and it tasted sour like it was spoiled. I sent it back and didn’t order anything else. My granddaughter’s food was all too spicy for her and she sat and cried. The fries were too spicy for a normal person let alone a child!! We won’t be going back. The crab cakes were just mush. All I can say good about the place was the server and girl at the cash register were nice.

Amazing!!! The food did not disappoint. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. I love that they have a thin batter that doesn’t make the food to breaded. Mac n’ cheese was also great. Very creamy. Gumbo samples were a great perk and definitely tasty as well. Clean place. Nice prices. Good deals. The service was spectacular! The two ladies that helped my daughter and I, were so sweet and attentive. They even let her pick a small gift out of a box and gave her a puzzle. Made a loyal customer out of me. Cannot wait to bring the rest of my family back.

This is an interesting place. It’s part Southern seafood, part Indian, part American burger joint. It’s such a weird mix.

Staying in a hotel nearby and tried this place out on a whim. We have five kids, and this place seemed casual enough to handle our gang. I honestly had low expectations looking through the menu as well… Mediterranean fare as well as Southern dishes? Seemed odd.

Sam’s Southern Eatery is worth a stop! I got their chicken kabobs with humus and they were great! The humus is served on the side as is the hot fresh pita. The kabobs were hot off the grill and spiced wonderfully! The young men staffing the place to great careers of me.
