Sam’s Seafood and Steak was purchased in 2022 by Melissa, Eric, and Nicole as a tribute to their late mother, Linda. The 3 owners of Sam’s Seafood and Steak have a long history of service and commitment to the Cypress area. Not only were they residents of Lakewood Forest and graduates of Cy-Creek High School, but they have continued to work and live in the area for more than 35 years. Melissa, Eric, and Nicole are excited to provide their long-time neighbors with quality seafood, scrumptious country-style grub, and mouth watering steaks. They take pride in preparing the seafood, salad, and steaks in the kitchen fresh daily.

Nice little restaurant. The only reason it isn’t getting a 4 star is how salty the grilled fish and gumbo was. The fried fish was pretty good though with how light and airy the breading was.

We are a Hispanic group that have felt rushed out of there. On at least five occasions in at least 10 visits ( 3months) by the hispanic waitress and the tall white young waiter. The check is brought to the table mid meal without us asking for it not even near closing time and keep approaching the table asking for any dish thats empty or if all we need is the check. Yet when refills on drinks are needed no waiter is in sight. Priorities and manners should be instilled in these two servers. All other servers provide awesome service.

The fried shrimp were large and delicious. The salad was fresh. The veggies were cooked just right & the dirty rice was moist and seasoned well. The best part was the speedy and excellent service we received. My son ordered gumbo and he liked it, but would’ve wanted more shrimp in it. Will be going back!

My wife and I tried Sam’s for the first time today because a lot of our customers recommended it highly. I had the fried catfish and fried shrimp lunch plate with corn nuggets and my wife had the shrimp Étouffée. Great food. Catfish and shrimp were very special….so lightly battered and you could taste the freshness and the corn nuggets were to die for! Shrimp Étouffée was a different take on Étouffée, more like a bisque and was wonderful. Friendly staff and we met and had a nice discussion with the owner Eric. Highly recommend you try Sam’s out. We will be regulars now!

This place has the best fried seafood in the area, hands down. The service is great and the prices are way better than that big chain, Pappa, and you can contribute to local owners. Fried catfish, oysters, shrimp and stuffed crab are the best. Get the hush puppies also, tasty.
