It was my first time visiting and I loved it! We sat on the patio, in the sun, right next to the railing. The breeze off the Gulf was perfect. Great for people and boat watching. There was live music on the other side of the deck. The bar was super fast. I wouldn’t recommend the drink bucket if you’re a drinker. It tasted really good but wasn’t very strong. The calamari was pretty bland. If I tried it again, I’d ask them to put old bay on it! The crab bucket was delicious! I definitely recommend it!

This place came recommended by a co-worker. I found myself out in Hudson Florida on a work trip and stopped to get something to eat while I was there. Wasn’t disappointed with Sam’s Beach bar. I got the Oceanside Caesar with added shrimp. The shrimp was much larger than I expected to see and was cooked perfectly. A little bit of what I think was blackened seasoning on there made it taste amazing. Extremely fresh. The service left a little bit to be desired. I’m not sure if he was having an off day or was new, but getting drink refills was very difficult. It was definitely a lot more pricey than I would typically go for, but for what it was I think it was a good value. If I found myself back in the area I would definitely go back again

Florida friends took me here in May 2023 and I could hardly be more thrilled with a dockside restaurant on the Gulf. From the initial reception, to the friendliness and adeptness of our waitress, to great food, my time at Sam’s Beach Bar was enjoyable and highly memorable (even as I’m writing this exactly a month later). Of course, the pizza was great, but I commented to my friends that I was astounded at how our young waitress reminded me (“back in my day”) of what I could expect top notch waitresses in America to be, not just friendly and welcoming, but also skilled, attentive, and supremely helpful. Being seated outdoors practically on the Gulf itself with the sun setting was just a bonus for us. For these reasons and more (like a clean facility, reasonable prices, humorous keg men’s room), I highly recommend Sam’s and look forward to coming back here whenever I get back to the greater Tampa/Clearwater area.

Great spot for a Gulf view ! Very clean / updated inside ! Very accommodating servers ! Food was very tasty and served quickly and as ordered. Only negative is a bit pricey for a burger and some fries what? No coleslaw and up charge of over 2 bucks for choosing small salad instead of fries Still all N all a good time was had ! ️

Food was pretty good, drinks were great. The view is AMAZING! We went here close to sunset and the restaurant was busy but it was well worth the 25 minute wait. It cleared out significantly after the sunset.

A very beachy style restaurant and bar. This place gets busy, so expect a wait for traditional mealtimes. I had shared the steamed shrimp bucket and Mahi Mahi sandwich. Both were very delicious and filling. The service was great and attentive and the atmosphere was fantastic with a view of the water and live music – it doesn’t get much better than this.

I have no ideal who told the chef this was a crab. If you from the SOUTH, stay away from the crab cakes. It taste like onions, peppers and cornmeal.

All outdoor seating right on the Gulf, either shade or sun. 80s music. The sweet potato fries are delicious and come with apple butter. Steak & cheese sandwich and pressed Cuban were both really good.

The atmosphere is very cool! The servers were great, super friendly! The crab cakes were amazing, the grouper “Sam-wich” was good but nothing to write home about. Very over-priced, even for a beach front restaurant. I’m in town on business and my work pays for my means and I still thought it was too much! I will come back, I’ll just order something more cost effective.

They have little to no seafood dishes available anymore. They have hamburgers and French fries, Pizza and sandwiches. They had a grouper sandwich I asked how much it was and the waitress as a matter a factly said $37.00. We were stunned by that answer so we drank our iced tea and then left and went somewhere else to eat. The seafood items they have listed below are not served any longer. The food is very expensive and the servings are not generous at all. We were very disappointed. You could easily spend $30.00 per person. Not worth it. . The restaurant is on the waterfront but there’s not that many seats near the water.
