Man behind the counter had an unpleasant attitude, young woman working with him looked unhappy. Brisket was cold, gray, and lacking any real flavor. Ham was pale, sweet and not smokey. Sausage had alright flavor but was on the dry side. The sauce was watery. Cole slaw was very salty. There is potential but overall no passion exhibited in the meats, and the meat is what makes a BBQ joint.

Walked up to order over a year ago and asked about their meat. I asked if I could have no fat on the meat. The man laughed at me and said they don’t serve meat without the fat. If you want to order gonna be fat on meat. I have not been back and the place looked gross.

The food was okay. Not great, but edible. My beef, which didn’t have a smoked flavor, was not hot or even warm. The beans and potato salad were simple, but also edible and filling.

Love me some Sam’s smoked brisket. My favorite BBQ in Bonham and this is where the farmers eat, so you know it’s good. Brisket is so tender, potato salad and beans are delicious too. He is only open until 2.

Some of the nicest people I’ve ever met! The BBQ was outstanding. The lady working even offered to bring my Grandpa Al a plate once a week at Clyde Cosper VA home. You don’t find people like that anymore.

Extremely hungry and my blood sugar is low, so I am stopping at a little BBQ joint. First impressions I got after stepping into the restaurant was that it catered to the older crowd. The young lady behind the counter looked depressed and sleepy. Once again they looked at me as if I was out of place. I ordered brisket sliced, potato salad and beans with a small soda. Brisket was a little dry, it tasted alright, fat was rendered off the meat completely, potato salad tasted to sweet, like something from Walmart, beans needed salt but they tasted good, they added cumin which I do in my beans. Aheadjoy was eager to explore, so I scarfed down the food and googled the next destination (unknown).

First time eating here and I really enjoy the foods. Their BBQ are actually good and tasteful. They accept CASH only. The owners of the place are really sweet people. I’m so happy they have unsweet tea.

Stopped in but didn’t eat, so I can not comment on the quality of the food. The two things I did notice were: 1. They only take cash, no credit/debit cards, which I can live with. & 2. The front counter lady told the gentleman in front of me that they don’t serve sweet tea, which was the deal breaker for me.
