This place is amazing! Perfect blend of rustic and modern. Not in an uppity area so there is plenty of parking and the staff are super friendly. Food is exquisitely prepared. Prices are reasonable. The ambience is intoxicating and authentic. Perfect score across the board!

If I could’ve give more than 5 stars, I would. There was absolutely nothing wrong about this spot. I’ve been meaning to come here for one thing, and one thing only, chicken Parm sandwich. I finally got the chance to go the other day for the first time ever and I was in love. You walk in and are greeted politely by the workers. Very friendly staff, I even forgot to remove something from my sandwich, and they were happy to help with my accomdation. The chicken Parm was by far the best I’ve had in Sacramento. I know I will be telling everyone about this spot. One thing I do regret is for taking so long to come out to this spot since they’ve been here for decades on top of decades. I promise you, anything you get from here, you will not be disappointed. I believe I saw the owner there, but he seemed really busy, and I did not want to disturb him. But the next time I see him, definitely getting a picture with the legend.

I LOVE the sandwiches here at Sampinos. My favorite sandwiches are the “Le Rustique”, “Traditional”, and “Pastrami”. I have never had anything less than an excellent sandwich here. Why? Their Ciabatta bread is perfect. Whatever sauces they use are also the product of many years of experience. It may be a bit more expensive than the average sandwich, but I feel it is more than worth the difference.

The most delicious Sandwich I ever had! I felt like I was living the provencial life, as it is so relaxing on the patio and enjoyed every bite of the sandwich, dill potato salad and orange cream soda. Btw, sandwiches come with a side salad. What a bonus! The Freshest and delicious bread and accompaniments! We ordered two traditionals and I loved the honey mustard with the salty ham! My bf wasn’t a big fan of the sweet mustard but you can always ask for light mustard on any sammy. Their cold case had so.many yummy things to take home to cook and enjoy such as housemade ravioli, sauces and garlic bread! We will definitely be visiting this cute little Mom and Pops establishment again!

Never been there before, actually never seen it tucked back off the street. Went to lunch at the invitation of a friend and had the hot pastrami sandwich and a small salad. An outstanding sandwich. Amazing combination of ingredients and the bread was superb. Pastrami was first class and fat free. Definitely going back
