The combination platter was definitely worth the money. The meat was very flavorful especially the lamb chops was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this place, the food was delicious and very unique from other afghan food.

Was skeptical at trying but read the last two reviews and this place without a doubt is the best Afghan place in the whole United States. All our food was fresh the owners are truly kind, friendliest. Thank you for such an amazing food and service. Will definitely visit again when we come NewYork in Future.

Tried this family owed little restaurant. We ordered lamb kebab and lamb gyro that we really like it, not too salty or saucy and moist taste like home cooking that’s exactly we love it. Always want to support family owed little restaurant. One thing is they need to well prepare before so the customer don’t wait for too long for the order. But absolutely delicious

My family and I love this place. The food is just amazing! The tikka kababs are so juicy and tender. The fresh warm bread is so good! The owner promised us free bolani next time so you know we’re going back . Thank you!

I drive by this place every day and finally decided to stop in. To say I’m happy I did is an understatement. Between the great food, the amazing staff, and the family like atmosphere I was so glad I chose to eat here.

We are very much happy with our experience at this restaurant. It was Mother’s Day, so me , my two sisters, and nieces wanted to be together and have dinner at somewhere special on this special occasion. We chose samovar. We got in, and we all ordered our preferred food. The food had this authentic taste to it. They were just amazingly delicious, all the credits to the chef, of course. Aside from the food, this place is very much neat, the atmosphere is very friendly, workers are very professional and nice. Their hospitality is just beyond words. For us, it’ll surely be one of the most memorable Mother’s Day we’ve ever had. I highly recommend this place.

Very delicious food & excellent service. I normally don’t write reviews but I feel like they’ve earned one. Compared to most afghan restaurants that I’ve dined in; this restaurant gives large portion sizes … down to the salad and their food is very authentic. I really enjoyed the gandana bolani. It was as if my own mother made it. The lady/ owner was also very sweet and served us fast. Definitely worth trying !

This was my first time dining at this establishment, and needless to say, it was a wonderful dining experience. The food was pretty good, although the chapli kebab was somewhat tough, but the presentation of the food was clean and neat. Overall, the service was okay. The place itself is amazing, and the decor is subtle and comforting. Our waitress was very friendly, and the people who were there were lively and welcoming. The menu offered a variety of different foods, and it was a good price for the serving of food we got. I went with a party of four yesterday afternoon.

The chicken kofta kabab with rice & salad was delicious. Very flavorful yet not over seasoned & not dry. I also appreciated that it didn’t contain crunchy seeds in it. The tandoori chicken was also delicious. Friendly service. Not a fancy restaurant but comfortable & clean nonetheless. Plenty of parking. Keep in mind that the signage outside has a different name. The Samovar sign is seen on the glass window. I plan & look forward to dining here again.

After reading reviews on Google, went their to get food. It’s small place in the plaza on Woodbury road. Met with owner behind the counter, and he happily took my order and told me to wait for 15 minutes. I ordered lamb tikka, chicken tikka and chicken tikka and kofta platter.
