The staff was extremely friendly and gave great recommendations. I really loved the mix kebab and it was so much food. I recommend having the carrots and raisin with the rice as it adds a nice sweetness. On the table they’ll have 3 sauces: 2 that are vinegar based and spicy and 1 white sauce they go great with everything.

I loveeee Sami’s !! The staff are super friendly and kind. This is a gem in LIC. The quality of the food is delicious. Their lamb is tendor and delicious. The Mantu dumplings, O M G, DELICIOUS!! Their quality of food has the right amount of spice, flavor and tenderness. I always get the Mantu and Uzbeki. Their kababs are also amazing. We always end our dining with sweet dessert Firnee. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Came for takeout and the food was ready on time. The beef kabobs were quite flavorful and filling. Also really liked the additional rice. It really pairs well with the meats

I’d HIGHLY recommend coming here sometime soon! The food is so good that I’m dreaming about coming back again. The menu is full of a lot of delicious options but the mixed kebab really stood out to us. The vibe is nice and the waiting staff is super friendly. Stop by in the area, you won’t regret it!

Definitely a notch below the original location. Beef kebab was dried & extra chewy. Would recommend the chicken soup & lamb kabab

Tried this for the first time since they opened. I was pleasantly surprised by how aromatic and tasty the mantu (dumplings) were. The portions were decent, and there was SO MUCH rice, but the kebabs had a great flavor and char to them. The servers were also extremely kind and even gave us a rice pudding on the house.

I was looking for a place to eat along Vernon Blvd. and I noticed that Sami’s had a perfect 5 star rating. So I placed an order of Lamb Kabab. The total was approx twenty dollars… and in my opinion, it wasn’t worth $10. The order took exactly 21 minutes to be ready and I took it to my car to eat because I wanted to eat it fast and while it was still warm. Well, the meat was dry and tough, the type that you have to chew and chew and chew and somehow it just never breaks apart into small pieces for safe swallowing. I felt the very real possibility that I’d be in danger of choking if I wasn’t extra careful and so I spit the chunk out. 1 chunk down 4 more to go. I basically chewed on each piece of lamb for a about minute (for the taste) and then I spit them out into the bag. After that I ate all the rice, which was decent, maybe cause I was starving. And that’s that.
