Whoa. I was not expecting this place to be so nice. Ita tucked away in the Santa Clara shopping center. The inside has clearly been remodeled since Same Same moves in. It light and bright and very nice looking. The menu is very unique and everything we tried was excellent. The cauliflower wings appetizers smelled terrible (like cauliflower can) but it tasted so good I didn’t care. The prices are also very affordable for the quality of food we were served. We paid $63 before tip for 3 full sized portions, two appetizers, and two beverages. I will definitely be back!

Same Same is wonderful; I’ve been for lunch and dinner and the service and food are equally awesome! I highly recommend the fried rice, as it’s one of the best I’ve tried anywhere. The Dungeness won’t disappoint you either. The Hennessey ribs are pretty great, as is the coconut milk seafood stew. For lunch, I enjoyed the bay shrimp larb salad. I have not tried every menu item, but after trying several of the options, my guess is you couldn’t go wrong ordering anything!

Had a pleasant Valentine’s day dinner here. They gave nice complimentary glasses of wine for the night. Unfortunately they were out of the ribs but we did get to try the chicken and waffle which was quite tasty. As my son said “this is the crispiest chicken I’ve ever had.” The sauces really made everything we had, especially the salad rolls! That sauce got put on everything, from the salad to the rice, it was that good! Not bad for soft opening

We had a spectacular dinner yesterday! The laksa was delicious and enormous. The chicken and waffles were unique and yummy. We have been fans of the Da Nang food cart for years and can’t believe it took us this long to check out their restaurant. It is worth the drive to the Santa Clara neighborhood to try their creative menu. Service was friendly and prices were fair. We will be back to try more of the menu.

Got the Henny Ribs, special of the day Bay Shrimp Larb and the Bored Chow Fun. All delicious but the winner was the ribs, see photos and videos. I’ve been eating from these chefs/cooks for years (Da Nang is their other spot), these guys are real craftsmen who love to share what they do, so they’re always experimenting and delighting their customers with specials. The menu will never bore you… this is a restaurant you will keep coming back to

I’ve been to Same Same twice, once during the soft opening and once today. Both times the food and service were fantastic! The fusion of SE Asian cuisines makes it a fun spot to try staple dishes from a few different countries. My wife and I really enjoyed the lunch banh mi sandwiches (I had the soft shell crab special, she had the char siu) and we highly recommend their nasi goreng and tamarind tofu!

We are out of towners looking for a place to eat. We actually were heading to a chain restaurant when we saw the sign for Same Same. Boy, are we happy we stopped there. The food was flavorful and the service was great. Make sure to get the Cauliflower wings with sweet chili sauce. We tried the Chili Prawns with a side of rice and the Bored Chow Fun. The sauce on the prawns was excellent. The chow fun anything BUT boring! We would definitely go back.
