Beautiful river view. Nice vibe with good music playing and pretty atmosphere. tasy dishes, delicious thai Ice Tea!

For a restaurant called “Sambal”, there was a disappointing lack of traditional dishes containing that ingredient. The only ones on the menu were sambal salad and sambal chicken winglet, neither of which can be considered authentic dishes. Other than that, the food ordered was passable, and the Thai curry was decent.

Pretty decent Thai food at fair prices. Try to grab outdoor seating during sunset over the Hudson. Get there at least 30 min before the actual sunset to catch the sun before it dips down below the palisades.

I’m inclined to not return, it was disappointing. The chicken wings were rubbery and not crispy. Ordered chicken with my Tom Yum soup, but came out without chicken, and it had to be remade/added. Ordered sticky rice with my beef randang, but there was no sticky rice, the server gave the reason that I wouldn’t like it. Unsure how to take that, why not just tell me when I placed the order and have me decide then? There was no checking-in, and I kept having to call for the server.

A delightful little restaurant overlooking the Hudson River.

NEVER AGAIN. This restaurant is a waste of money, find another option if you’re into taste and getting what you paid for. I understand a kitchen needing to be profitable, but this was a lower level of a dressed up TV dinner at best. If you’re ONLY going for a drink and the view of the Hudson river from 200 feet away over and beyond an active parking lot, make it that. I should have read the other honest reviews about how bad this place actually is before going. Good thing I had leftovers at home because we left hungry having not even been able to finish our unappetizing meals.

Went for birthday dinner—the views outside over the Hudson were spectacular. The food was delicious too (lots of vegetarian and vegan options—I got green curry and even tried the vegan duck. My friend told me it did not taste like duck, though had a similar texture. I’ve been vegetarian for most of my life, and never ate duck before so let him make the call!). We wanted 630 reservations but were told they were booked…however, when we got there at 630 (for 645 reservations), the place was completely empty…

I just ate there tonight, and it was the most disgusting food I ever had in my life. We had to wait forever to be served our food. My appetizer I almost threw up I asked for my dinner, which was the drunken sailor to be made mild. It was so spicy. The drinks were horrible. I left no tip. I’ve never gone to such a disgusting restaurant. The food is disgusting. Don’t go there.
