Had a mini-reunion with relatives. We ordered food for 3 tables. There were around 8-9 items per table. Food came hot and fast.

This Chines restaurant was good. The service was just a bit slow and some of the staff was rude. The food is good tho. I just wish the the staff was a bit nicer.

Kinda pricey overall, 18 bux for a plate of vegetables, no meat, and the green beans though plentiful were low on flavor. The meat plate was delicious though not spicey as indicated. Friendly, courteous wait staff though not enough for quick responses. Chili oil not great, disappointing. We will come again to try more dishes though as menu is long on variety.

I miss SamWoo in Irvine (shut down for a few years now) and barbeque pork and roast duck so I drove for 45 minutes to this one, but so disappointed food was not great at all. I couldn’t finish 1/3 of the plate. Service don’t bother me since I wasn’t going there for the service. Will try in LA next time if I am ok in the area.

I have been at this location multiple times (BBQ take out side) and the service has always been awful. A little disclosure, this restaurant has two sides, one a sit down area restaurant and in the back there is a separate take out section, same kitchen for both sides. This review is for the take out section only.

Food is good, service is hit or miss, a little pricey, and the venue is in desperate need of a remodel. Been eating here for a long time(15+ yrs). Not a go to spot but if you are craving family style Chinese food it’ll do. Recommend House Special Beef and Fried Tofu w/ XO sauce.

We didn’t have to drive to San Gabriel or Irvine to enjoy the authentic HK food. Sam Woo in Cerritos just never disappoints. (But don’t expect the excellent or attentive service though, it’s busy as always:))

A long time standing restaurant in the Artesia/Norwalk/Cerritos area where you can sit down with family to enjoy the spinning lazy susan with all your Chinese favorites. Egg drop soup, roast duck, chow mein, etc. When the meal is done, the servers bring you your warm tapioca dessert and cookies to cleanse your pallette of all the savory dishes you order. Sam Woo, your typical gathering place for when you’re in the mood for Chinese comforts in a sit down restaurant.

Food is amazing! Everything always tastes delicious and the service is fast. I’ve been going there with my family for 15 years now and I’ve never had a bad experience. Each ala carte plate ranges from $10 -$13 during their luncheon special. Dinner is almost double though. Also don’t expect them to speak perfect English as they are an authentic Chinese restaurant but their menu is in both English and Chinese. Also, they don’t make small conversation nor do they check on you every 15 mins to see if you need anything as the restaurant is run at a fast pace. They get you seated fast and served fast which is always a plus for me. They could do better with the cleanliness of their bathroom though. It needs a bit of updating.

Our staple for Chinese food for over 30 years. The flavors have definitely diminished. Not as good as it used to be. Expensive for what you get.
