I ordered a large Mac and large yams. It’s 3 yams in 2 small containers and the Mac is like one serving with maybe an extra spoon. I thought large side dishes were suppose to at least feed 2 people guess not

I have given the Shaker Heights store at least four chances to get an order right over a period of 1.75 years- both using Uber Eats and in the store. Three out of five times my order is missing my okra. Four out of five times the fries are old/not fresh. The fish is overcooked as you will see in my picture. Once I ordered on Uber Eats, on a holiday, wh3re the store said it was open. The Uber driver gets there and the store is closed- noone in sight. If you want Sam Sylk’s go the the Euclid Ave store in Cleveland or Arlington Ave in Akron- I haven’t had issues with those stores.

I ordered a. Catfish dinner and three wings with sauce. The catfish dinner was terrible, it was tough and chewy. You tell that it was cooked in old grease. The wing were ok but had very little sauce on them. I’m sure i won’t be eating there again.

Just moved back to Cleveland two weeks ago after being away for a long time. To come back and see Sam Sylk has his own restaurants made me smile. I enjoyed listening to him on the radio when I was a kid. I ordered pickup via the DoorDash app and picked up my food with no problems. The catfish sandwich is the bomb. I’ve had catfish in other cities but Cleveland folks make some of the best catfish. It was so good. Can’t wait to try out the rest of the menu.

I ordered a catfish dinner and the food was amazing. I don’t typically eat greens, but the greens, yams and macaroni and cheese were awesome. I’m definitely coming back.

Ordered through GrubHub just now. Received my food in time. Did not receive fries for one meal. The ones we received were cold, very skinny, a little hard. No coleslaw on one of the dinners. Hush puppies were real hard, received two. They were suppose to replace the bread.

NEVER AGAIN. Fiancee ordered two fish sandwich meals, one catfish, the other orange roughy. Number one, it had no flavor at all . The batter was plain as day. Bread was soft and chewy, not in a good way; tasted on the verge of stale and improperly stored. The fries were unedible. Tasted like some cold second hand McDonald’s fries. Tartar sauce, no flavor. How that happens is beyond me. I try to support black establishments and always will, but Sam Sylk, yeah, NEVER AGAIN.
