Okay WOE, Wowza, what a treat!!! This spot is really truly a diamond in the gem city! The baked goods are incredibly beautiful & decadent. The dishes are classic yet innovative with high-quality ingredients. The pimento cheese on my biscuit was easily the best I’ve ever had. Thick, perfectly crunchy bacon. The beautiful blueberry corn bread with the local butter was lovely to share as an appetizer. Delightful selection of teas iced & hot. The decor was very cute, vintage Pyrex and various vintage / antique kitchen. The owner & all his helpers were just getting ready to go on vacation this week, but something tells me that they are always sweet! Thanks for the great meal, enjoy your vacations!

We were visiting from out west and were looking for somewhere for lunch and thought this would be fun to try.

The BEST restaurant I’ve been to in Dayton! This place goes above and beyond any expectation that I have for any restaurants. The hot tea was served in a French press, they created a house salad for me that was vegan and gluten free, and the rosemary potatoes and the zucchini were so absolutely amazing that I can’t wait to order them again soon. You can see the little extra special touches in the pictures like the fact that they bring the fancy teacup with a little plate with a stirring spoon, a glass jar of honey, and the most delicious salad dressing I think I’ve ever had in my life was served in a glass dessert cup with spoon. I sent a tip to the cook, and I have only done that maybe twice in my entire 46 years. You seriously cannot go wrong here. I am ultra-picky, have lots of allergies, and cannot think of a place I’d rather eat.

Absolutely AMAZING brunch experience! Everyone here is just so friendly and accommodating. We called ahead for seating during brunch and enjoyed our seats at the bar. The space is a well-designed perfect mix of Grandma’s kitchen and a diner, with absolutely delicious farm-to-table dishes. The biscuits are PHENOMENAL and every biscuit dish is piled high. I recommend trying their specials because they are made daily with love. I wish we came on an empty stomach so we could try everything.

My wife and I had lunch at the salt block biscuit Company. The food was extremely well prepared and beautifully presented. The dining area is kind of small but very clean and well decorated. B blueberry mint lemonade was delicious. VE price point was not cheap but match the quality of the food. Would recommend it for anybody who is tired of just standard Chain food.

Had the salted chocolate chip cookie, peach ice tea, and the cheddar biscuit open faced sandwich with sunflower sprouts, spinach, hard boiled egg, bacon, aioli sauce- delicious! Will be back!

So…. Amazing sausage. They “mix” it themselves she told me. I don’t know if they make it, but it’s really good and I’d come back for a side of this anytime. I didn’t get a biscuit which is a shame since that’s what they do…. Super super cute place with really nice people. Also had a side of potatoes and really liked them. The coffee isn’t very good …. That’s my only detractor. They have a huge jar of coffee grounds that makes me think it isn’t the freshest…. It tastes weak and not great. But…. That’s the ONLY negative so try this place out and have a biscuit for me

I had a delicious chicken salad biscuit. The atmosphere is super cute. The staff don’t seem to care much. When I was making room for a couple of people at the end of our table, Justin (the baker?) said to me, “it IS the communal table.” I wasn’t fighting with you. ♀️

The place has an eclectic ambience and amazing food. You smell the food the moment you walk in. The food speaks for the passion of the chef. The staff are super friendly and nice. I got the Creamy Chicken and Vegetable chowda with Biscuit with a side of Chefs cobbler. Everything tasted good. The biscuit was soft, flaky. I would highly recommend this place. There is a community table but otherwise limited seating. There is also bar (kind of) seating. Overall an amazing place. Paid street parking.

This place is a delightful gem in downtown Dayton. Food is so good. They have a chicken salad that changes every week. The chef has a new flavor. This week is tarragon with onion, celery, and almonds. the waitress is so knowledgeable and takes times to make recommendations. The baked goods are hard to choose from.
