In my quest to find good pizza in Washington Township NJ I decided to try Sal’s Pizza. Here’s my opinion. The sauce was very good with a slight pleasant sweetness that I found very good. The cheese is high quality and not too oily. Finally, the crust. My major complaint with pizza in this area is the crust. None of the pizza shops around here have a clue with crust. It’s always super floppy and you take a bite you can see that the inside is not cooked. Always. The bottom appears to be crispy but it’s not. It’s not just Sal’s it’s everywhere in the Township. I am accustomed to places like Frank Pepe’s, Trenton style pizza and locals like King of Pizza. Crispy crust, cooked through with almost no flop when you first start eating one. I haven’t given up and I’ll keep trying but I just don’t get it. If I wanted soft doughy crust I’d like Dominos but I don’t. Sal’s scores points for flavor and now if they could only figure out the crust.

I ordered a gluten fee pizza & a large plain. Used Slice app, as that is how they direct you to order. I ended up with no red gravy on gluten free pizza, and a cold large plain. They gave me a $5 coupon for a $32 order plus tax, tip, and dollar “business fee”!

Food was all types of messed up I ordered 3 things. The Chicken Parm Pizza was not just overcooked but the chicken was burnt. The Cheese Fries were soggy which is understandable for cheese fries on delivery but the fries that had no cheese were limp and tasted uncooked. Then lastly the Cream Cheese Poppers had barely any filling and was mostly just pepper and fried breading. I will say if you need a quick meal they got my order done quickly.

This was really good food. My group tried a few sandwiches and pizza as well an appetizer… all was really good and the food tasted fresh. Service was unhurried and friendly.

Ordered pizza and wings for takeout . Pizza was excellent as always and the wings came crispy with sauce on the side . You can dip the wings a little or a lot depending on your preference. They’re a departure on regular buffalo wings and they are very good.
