I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sal Y Limón, and I must say it was an outstanding experience! The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, providing top-notch service that truly enhanced my visit. The vibrant atmosphere, with soccer matches playing on big screens, added an extra layer of excitement to the dining experience.

We went for happy hours. My friends like their drinks. Chips Frescos with 3 salsas and guacamole was good. The presentation of tortillas shop was interesting, my friend said her soup was good. We ordered nacho without cheese because i am lactose. The bean was good with the salsa.

Lately, dining out hasn’t been pleasant because we are served microwaved ready made food and sometimes even stale food. This restaurant was a breath of fresh air. At the beginning they served us complimentary veggie taco which was yummy. Our main course and the sauces were fresh and tasty. Servers are attentive and helpful. I would definitely come back when I am around the neighborhood.

We were a party of 7 visiting Seattle and had dinner to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. We made a mistake of not making reservations. The hostess told us that the wait was 30 minutes, and it was over 45 minutes. There were empty seats downstairs but we couldn’t go there since we had teenagers & it was bar area. Our server was not friendly and when she carded our daughter for alcoholic drink, she didn’t acknowledge that it was our daughter’s birthday. Everyone enjoyed their entrees; however, my carnitas was disappointing. It was small portion size and was dry & not tasty. It is not a fun place to celebrate birthdays since none of the staff sang her a birthday song and the server did not seem happy with giving our daughter a complimentary dessert.

Good flavors. I got the tamales raja and they were perfect! The ceviche was good sized and fresh, good value for the cost! The spanish rice had good flavor too. They serve small tostadas as your free appetizer instead of chips& salsa. Food came out quickly. Overall a great experience! We already started eating when I took the photos, so expect better presentation lol

I have visited this restaurant twice and enjoyed it both times. The location is great. It’s a ten minute walk from Climate Pledge.

This is my new go-to spot for when I’m craving a margarita. They have a fun variety of flavors but I had to try my favorite cucumber jalapeño marg. The flavor was strong and definitely spicy, but what I really loved is that they did not hold back on the tequila either. So many places will give you a marg that tastes good but masks the alcohol but this place does right so you taste everything and it’s well balanced.

We stopped by here for lunch during happy hour. We realized this was a more upscale Mexican restaurant and didn’t know what to expect, this could either be really good or really bad. We were greeted at the front and promptly seated in the upstairs area. They gave us these huge jugs of water so we could refill our glasses as needed. Instead of the usual chips and salsa we were given a small complimentary tostada which was a nice touch. It was a bean tostada with cabbage, cotija cheese, and salsa on top. Service was a bit slow but this was most likely due to it being full, happy hour, and it being the weekend. I ordered the horchata and chorizo queso fundido. The horchata was good but nothing to rave about. The queso fundido was the star of my show. My plate was small but it was delicious and very filling. We came during happy hour so my dish was only $9, which I think was a great price. Keep in mind you are essentially eating a plate of cheese with meat sprinkled on top. My husband ordered the chicken mole which can be very hit or miss due to there being so many variations. The mole was amazing though, although it had chocolate and green apple, the sweetness was not overpowering and the flavors were well balanced. The dish was fairly small priced at $21 but that was expected due to the restaurant being a bit more upscale in downtown. For three people who consumed three dishes, we ended up paying $60 which we were surprised because we expected to pay more. Overall, we loved our experience and would definitely come back. If you’re in the area and want to try a more modern/upscale take on Mexican food, this is definitely worth a stop!
