Really loved this place! The service was a homerun here. The hibachi and sushi were amazing. Would highly recommend this place if you are visiting State College.

Was here for a quick dinner. Food was promptly served, one dish right after the other was finished. I only had the clear soup, avocado ball appetizer, and gyoza appetizer. All were very good and reasonably priced. I was a little disappointed to find that they didn’t serve any alcohol, but it was great for a quick in-and-out meal.

Ordered Sushi, they make fresh on spot! Loved all the flavors! They have some great Hibachi Item, my all time favorite is Salmon Hibachi. Little expensive and not the best service, but the food quality is one of the best. Very quiet and plenty of seating and parking space. They have a drive through option, which often helps.

The food here was ok; it did the job and was fresh. However, I definitely feel like the flavors could’ve been deepened for a better dining experience. The interiors were lovely and the service was even lovelier. We really enjoyed how hospitable and at home we felt at Sakura. If we give this another shot, we will definitely try their bento boxes and their Teppanyaki.

My girlfriend and I showed up at a time where it was just the two of us. The service was a little rushed, but we both agreed that they were pleasant. The food was delicious and well priced for the portions you get. She got salmon hibachi and I got the sushi bento box. 60 bucks for that plus two desserts, a japanese soda and her soda. Thats a decent dinner in my mind. I will definitely go here again in the future. Thank you!

One of the worst costumer service I experienced so far and not even a clean food with hairs being found. First, they look down on people who order less expensive menu. For example, the lady just hung up on me when I asked for clarification about lunch box. Second, they are not a clean restaurant with hairs being found.

Food was GREAT! Salmon hibachi dinner is great. But the server was TERRIBLE! When we walked in, he motioned us towards a table like we were a herd of cattle. His facial expression was clear, he did not want us to be there. No eye contact, no hello and just an expression of disgust. Our initial impression was proved right by his behavior later. He never came to our table to check on us. Never replenished water, never cleared plates that we were done with. We saw him laughing with another employee for the rest of our meal and playing with his cell phone. The plate had lots of oily finger prints on the rim. The fried rice was lukewarm. For $40 we spent there, we would have gotten much better care and food at a Chick-Fil-A or Olive Garden. The manager of the restaurant, a very nice lady, was apologetic and said she will take care of the issue when I complained.

Sakura is my FAVORITE lunch stop. The bento box is wonderful with lots of items (dumplings are fantastic!) and filling! This is wonderfully authentic Japanese cuisine and cannot wait to get there for dinner sometime soon! PLEASE give it a try!
