Legitimately the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Hostess was rude and unwelcoming. Wait staff served hot tea cold and didn’t even fill the pot completely. Place was practically empty when we arrived yet the staff was overwhelmed. Kitchen was a circus, ran out of rice, no prep work done for dinner crowd, shrimp was overcooked and hard. Cooks didn’t look happy. Owner presumably was the only one actually working and he had to stop every five seconds to tell his staff common sense things anyone working in food service should already know. The other sushi chef was incredibly slow. Nobody offered refills, nobody bussed dishes. Everyone except the owner seemed to be completely lost. Was there for at least an hour and we barely got two rolls each due to the slow kitchen pace. Finally gave up trying to eat here and just paid our bill so we could go somewhere else and actually get served dinner. Had to look around for camera crews because this seriously seemed like an episode of America’s Worst Kitchens on Food Network.

My family and I have not been here for some time due to horrible service in the past. We went with friends tonight, Lee was not there cooking and on vacation whom we love. It was the worst sushi I have ever had. The crystal shrimp was even bad, not to mention the fish was “fishy” and not fresh. It took 15 minutes to get our beer. None of our dishes were cleaned up and never was asked for refills or next order. For a Friday night there was few customers. We won’t be back!

GREAT Sushi place. All you can eat is always good for when you cant decide which rolls to get or you want everything. Went when they first opened which was about 2ish years ago and looked and felt the same. Service the second time was not too great, server looked as if there were better places to be after a confusing order from my father. Didn’t wind up coming back to our table after we ordered but continued servicing those around us. Eventually we ordered from ANOTHER person who I can only assume was the busboy. Still Great food so we left full.

I’ve had Sushi at Saku three times. I’ve been to numerous sushi restaurants over the years and I know when the fish is fresh. The fish was so good it melted in my mouth–on all three occasions. I also know good miso and it was the traditional aged yummy kind. I like that this place has a real Japanese Sushi Chef as I am very meticulous when it comes to sanitation and food preparation. There was not one single fingerprint; on the glass opening to the fish. Very clean work area with the Sushi chef. I would definitely each here again. This place is also very affordable.

Don’t leave reviews too often. First time eating here. We were recommended here by a friend. Horrible service. Rude and inattentive waitress. All adults were served and done eating while our 2 year old still hadn’t received his kids meal. Asked server multiple times how long until it was ready. Never gave us an answer. Never came by to take the additional order of the person in our party who had all you can eat. We had to call her over, as she was busy fiddling with silverware and talking to other staff. We came at 3pm so the place was nearly empty. Not one apology or word of explanation from any member of the staff. Great food, but horribly incompetent and unprofessional staff serving as the face of the restaurant, and for that reason alone we will not return nor recommend this place to anyone.

Went for the first time and didn’t listen to previous reviews on service. There was only 1 table plus us in the place at lunch with 2 waitresses on. She however came right away but asked what we wanted to eat ( being first time I said I wasn’t quite ready- needed to look over menu) very politely she let me. But the obvious signs 15 min later when menus closed and on phones and looking in her direction no service. Another table came in and one would think she’d take their drink order and poss come to us in one swoop but no, and hen she went back to the same table to take food order. We have now beecome non existent. We decided to move to the bar area where chefs were very attentive and got us out food right away! 5 star for the chefs and service. On that note only advice being a former sever is multi task if they couldn’t handle two tables I can only imagine full.

I worked late yesterday, but my wife stopped by to check out Saku, since neither of us had ever been there and we are both Sushi fans. She was delighted to see Chef Le, who remembered what she likes from some of their previous encounters. My wife stayed to have a few treats, and brought home a couple long rolls for me to have when I got home. They were awesome, and I look forward to going to Saku soon. I especially enjoyed the delicate, authentic seasoning of the sushi rice, and the meticulous way the rolls were prepared and sliced.

The sushi was good, but the service is absolutely terrible. Even though the place was not busy, it took forever to get the wait staff to help us. The food came quickly but we couldn’t get our plates, chopsticks or wasabi ginger without getting up and asking someone to help us. They never asked us what we wanted to drink. And then it took forever to get our check. We won’t be going back.
