Brought visiting mom in for brunch this morning. YUM. The food, service, and atmosphere were exceptional. We all cleaned our plates – gravy outstanding, tomatillo salsa super fresh, and the most perfect grits. Mom wants to go back tomorrow! We will be back!

Get your taste buds ready to blast off! The bean curd and pork soup on the specials menu made me a believer that flavorful and unique food can be found in Taos! 10 out of 10! Would visit again!

What a treat to be able to dine in this historic hotel in a historic town on a historic plaza, AND be treated to food cooked by infamous Lee Cooks Church. Yum! I stopped in late morning craving some breakfast, and was not disappointed by the inventive menu that blends traditional breakfast/brunch items and Southwest traditions with Lee Cooks’ spin on them; I had the cornbread flight – one with brisket (OMG to die for), one with fried egg and bacon, and one with jalapeno jelly. I saw some of the other dishes coming out and they were all generously sized. I can’t wait to go back and try more on the menu. Treat yourself and sit in one of the unique cubbies while people watching, enjoy the gorgeous artwork, or invite friends and have a Sunday Funday.

The food was fantastic, however, it took 45 minutes for our waiter to come and take our order for brunch, and over an hour an a half for us to get our food. We were the first ones in the restaurant and others had sat down, gotten their food, and finished eating all in the time it took us to get our food.

Don’t understand the rave reviews. I got the huevos “churcheros” and a biscuit with gravy. There was nothing explicitly wrong with them, they were edible, but the flavors in both were just super mediocre. Biscuit was dry and flavorless. Main taste of the gravy was salt. Black beans looked and tasted like they did nothing but pour them out of a can. Service was OK but fairly unattentive – my server never asked how the food was, for example, which should happen at this price point.

Truly a refreshing experience in the Taos plaza. New takes on classics and dishes with flavors that are hard to come by in New Mexico. Very comforting and nostalgic for a southerner like me. Food was great. Atmosphere is friendly. It’s will easily become a staple for me. A place that will keep you coming back as only they have what you’re looking for.
