The food was excellent at this welcoming, comfy French Bistro. I started with the Shrimp Cocktail which had 4 juicy, jumbo shrimp. The Steak Au Poivre was huge and tender and cooked to perfection. My wife had the mussels which she claimed was among the finest she’s ever had. For dessert, the profiterole was sweet and mouth watering. Service was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. We had the choice of sitting downstairs, which was near the bar and was more spirited, or upstairs, where we ended up, which was more low key. Either way, you can’t go wrong here.

We eat here regularly. Food is always delicious, staff is wonderful and the atmosphere is pleasant classic bistro, also family friendly. We also threw a brunch party in their upstairs room. I can not say enough how exceptional they were for our event. They were EXTREMELY helpful and accommodating to our needs. The food was outstanding. I would recommend St. George Bistro, for dinner, brunch or a private event.

Love this place, best steak and eggs/Bloody Mary in the neighborhood! Cocktail shrimp for the win! Very cozy vibes. Really nice for brunch!

We went for dinner there during restaurant week hoping to add it to our list of favorites to frequent. They offer a good wine selection. Chose the French onion soup as my appetizer which was delicious. I ordered the steak with seasoned fries as my main course to be cooked medium -well done and added the lemon tart for dessert. I had to send my main course plate back to the kitchen because my steak was bleeding not cooked as I requested. When it was returned to me it was still bleeding and the seasoned fries were no longer hot and crispy but cold and wimpy. I was very disappointed and asked for it to be removed. I no longer had the desire to eat that meal. I did finish the night with the lemon tart and it was very good. I probably will not revisit the St George as I feel they did not treat my dinner with the proper attention and did not fulfill my request on the order.

A lot of the items on the menu were not available. Even in terms of drinks, they didn’t have any scotch or whiskey. I ordered a glass of wine which had parts of the cork floating in it. The food was awful. We ordered some raw items which were ok however the steak, roast and escargot were terrible. I couldn’t chew through my food and ended up leaving pretty much the entire meal. The highlight of the night was the warmed bread.

Amazing bistro in Westchester. We go here for brunch and dinner often and can’t be happier. It’s located in a nice restaurant strip of Hastings on Hudson with a lot of really good dining options all around but I have to say it’s one of my favorite on the strip.

I would like to make this a favorite place, but it struggles with consistency. I’m not even sure what the schedule is in this place. Some days they are open, some days they are not. You show up on a day that they are open, and it’s closed. I really don’t get this place. It’s hard to give it a rating without second guessing it.

We’ve been looking forward for this restaurant for quite some time. Today was our anniversary and figured I’d surprise my wife for dinnerr. Very quaint restaurant with a large room upstairs for bigger parties. Had a reservation for 6:45pm, walked in and just got a weird vibe. Stood there for at least 10 seconds, wait staff just looked at us with a confused look. Wasn’t greeted with any welcome to St. George Bistro or anything of the sort. Just a questionable “you have reservations?” I Told them we had a 6:45pm reservation and she had to look it up, was seated and thought nothing of it. Ordered a dozen mixed oysters with lobster cocktail for appetizer. Lobster was ok, little dry, but the oysters were excellent. The Royal Miyagi was very tasty. For our main course, we had the Hudson valley duck breast and the boneless rib eye steak frites with a side of bérnaise sauce. I must say, it’s not that it wasn’t cooked well, but certainly nothing to write home about. To top it off, I had written some special instructions about writing happy anniversary on the plate for dessert. Was disappointed with the whole experience that we skipped the dessert totally, paid the bill and left. Wish the food spoke for itself to bypass the lack luster customer service, but overall… It was a disappointment.
