I’ve been waiting for someone to open it back up after Kathy and luigi closed due to Covid…. staff was friendly, personable no problems. Prices still good too…Food was great however, it was not the same bread. Luigi used Bella Napoli hard sub roll a diagonal cut which was the signature of sainatas strike one ….this was just a soft sub roll doesn’t set itself apart like it used to….roll was kind of generic if it’s still Bella Napoli, it’s the soft sub roll and comparative to mr sub and it’s not the same.. i used to buy an Italian mini every single day working at the department of health from sainatas literally every day. The bread is what makes the sub right now it’s like everywhere else if you wanna set your place apart, get the same bread lu use to use. Will probably return…..update chips are stale af one month left on the expiration strike 2…:miss Luigi’s funny attitude a lady once asked for mayo on an Italian mix and he hung up on her straight old school Italian he was.Oh and u need to change the google photos because that’s the old delicious bread Luigi used and it’s almost a bait and switch expecting that bread and getting a mrsub roll

I ordered an Italian mix on a roll and got a small cam of brisk iced tea for my drink. I asked for extra onions and got pretty much none, and also there’s like 0 meat on this sandwich. Literally 3 maybe 4 slices? The meat was tough/poorly cut. The onions were thick, and the lettuce was scrappy. I paid 10$ for my meal and for a business I’ve heard so many great things about im very disappointed. Save your time and goto ragonese imports!

The real deal, authentic Italian deli with the best subs on earth and friendly service always. The people that work there are happy and love food. Get there early for lunch, its packed always! excellent prices as d mouth watering delicious! You can grab a seat and have s quick lunch on the go! Bravo!

Definitely not as good as it used to be and the new help is not very bright. Used to be my favorite sub shop but I’d rather get subway then have to tell the staff 7 different times (even after calling in the order) what I want on my sub and still get it incorrect and with stale bread.

The best in Albany!!! And that’s coming from someone who’s been eating subs all over the capital district for over 20 years! I’ve been going here since I 4 and I’ll never lose my taste for sainatos. Their bread is some of the tastiest stuff around. Just typing about it is making me hungry.
