Omg the white bean chili is DELICIOUS! The soups change daily, but they serve this chili on Thursdays — I would come back for this and their homemade wheat bread alone! Nice selection of sandwiches and salads at affordable prices. Lively atmosphere and friendly staff.

I’ve been eating here since 1977. The broccoli cheese soup and the homemade bread are their calling card. However EVERY sandwich is phenomenal and the salads are no slouch. ONLY open for lunch. So get there before 2pm.

Sage is probably my favorite restaurant ever. I’ve been going since the late 80s. Their bread is homemade and so freaking good! Their cream of broccoli soup is homemade and SO FREAKING GOOD! My go to sandwich is the veggie with dill cream cheese, sunflower seeds, carrots and cucumbers. I’m drooling just thinking about it.

We popped in here in the middle of a wine tour per a recommendation. It was very good. Bread is homemade. I would request “double the meat” for my sandwich. More protein to go with the carbs. Others had a cup of soup with their sandwich and they liked it as well.

So is this McMinnville fine dining? No, but it does homemade soups and sandwiches as well as anyone. Walking up the stairs to the restaurant is like walking back in time to the Cafe I used to visit with my grandfather when we’d go into town for our shopping.
