Combining homegrown with homemade, our menu features regional favorites that are fresh & healthy (and taste great too). We use vegetables & herbs from our on-site organic gardens, along with harvests from local farmers. We’re probably best known for our specialty sandwiches on homemade artisan breads, along with our seasonal salads and soups.
Local wines and craft beers enliven & enhance a dining experience unique to the Bluegrass. Our daily specials & signature desserts combine with the finest Kentucky bourbons and brews, making us a perfect stop along the trail.
Located on the site of Wilson’s original garden center, the building’s horticultural bones inspire the natural environment of our cafe.

Great Cafe. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect. There was an area for dining outside, but it had rained earlier, so we ate inside. The Mrs and I started out with the goat cheese and fig appetizer, and it was delicious. The Mrs selected the Chicken Salad sandwich with chips. It was really good and creamy and served on fresh Walnut bread. I chose the pimento cheese sandwich on fresh sour dough bread with chips, and they don’t skimp on the cheese!! The other food was a bowl of chicken salad and a burger!

Great food, great atmosphere, perfect date. We ate outside and there was a nice breeze, then took a tour around the nursery. Definitely a “must do” if you haven’t visited. We’ll definitely be back soon. May be the new Sunday spot.

I love everything about this place! If you love organic, all natural, delicious food, to be surrounded by a beautiful atmosphere and wonderful people, then you will love this place! The food is fantastic! Personally, I loved the Cole Slaw, which is vinegar based, so not for everyone, but she told me when I ordered, so I wasn’t surprised. I found it to be very fresh, and I love vinegar, so it was great. I want to learn how to make the bread I had because it’s the best bread ever.

A unique place to grab some lunch. They were understaffed but did have signs warning that was the case. The food was very good and the atmosphere was great. The seating area has plants everywhere. We will be going back to the green house which also looked impressive.

This was my first time here. The food is great. I had the hot brown panini and tomato basil soup. It was delicious. We also went to their garden center and butterfly house. They have such a great variety of plants. The butterfly house was full of beautiful butterflies and plants. This is a great place to visit. The restaurant menu offers a variety of salads and sandwiches. Don’t forget dessert. The bourbon bread pudding is so huge and tasty. Definitely enough to split between two or even three people.

This was the second time I have ordered on-line only to go to pick up the food and find out it wasn’t anywhere near ready when they said it would be. Then they told me it would be a ten minute wait. Thirty minutes later it was finally ready. My suggestion to anyone else would be to skip this not very well run business. The food is too expensive to put up with this nonsense.

The only thing I can say is “this is a GREAT place for a retired person, or one who is on vacation. It is NOT a good place for a normal employee. I placed my order ahead of time, was told it would be ready when I got there, and it wasn’t. The lady before me even abandoned the order she was waiting on.

Sage Garden is a great place to go. Their coffee selection is great and nothing on their menu disappoints. My only complaint is that you can’t get free refills on coffee, but that really isn’t a huge deal. Love coming here.

Great little cafe with an excellent menu full of fresh dishes. If we were locals, I suspect we would visit regularly. Although the restaurant can get busy, it looks like the Google algorithm will often inaccurately predict the current busy-ness. This is likely due to the Sage Garden store which shares the parking lot.
