I took few friends over for an extraordinary dining experience. The food was simply delicious, and Chef Jamie’s unique dishes were exceptional. TY, our server, provided professional service, and the cozy atmosphere by the fireplace added the perfect touch. A go to place for special occasions. The menu changes slightly seasonally and the chef is always coming up with something new and innovative. Some of the menu staples never disappoint, like the steaks! And you get two perfect tiny chocolate chip cookies with your bill!

Awesome date night spot. Reservations should be made a month in advance. We were seated promptly. The entire dinner service was prompt. Wait staff were attentive. Food was excellent. Try to save room for dessert!

My husband and I recently dined at Saddle River Inn for my birthday. It was our first experience after hearing rave reviews for years. Our experience certainly lived up to the hype. The location is quaint and the ambiance has a perfect mix of upscale without being overly formal. The barn is beautiful and the fire pit outside was a lovely touch. The food was excellent; ingredients were fresh, portions were fair, and prices matched the quality and creativity that went into each dish. (Love that the restaurant is BYO.) What made our experience most special was the service. Our waiter, Matt, was excellent! Matt took his time and took care of us; an art that is often overlooked. He gave us great recommendations and did everything he could to ensure the best experience. To top it off, the teamwork of the entire staff was apparent and top notch. Way to go, SRI! We will definitely be back.

Beyond amazing experience and food. I came here on a challenge that I could not get a reservation here and that because I do not have culinary background that my opinion is not valid. I’m happy to report that I was able to get a reservation, quite quickly, and then change it last minute due to an issue with our sitter. Also delighted that the only requirement to having an opinion about a restaurant is the ability to pay for the food – I am blessed to have that. Thank you Saddle River Inn – I didn’t know where I was going to celebrate a year of being alcohol free, I found the perfect place. Somebody is not a hater if they simply do not like or appreciate a gimmick laden nightclub like restaurant experience – this was far from that and perfect in every way I could imagine.

Flawless dinner. Everything we ordered was superbly prepared. Duck, crab cakes, and sirloin were all great. Desserts and appetizers were excellent as well. Not inexpensive, but a terrific place for a celebratory meal.

If there were more stars I’d click them all. The absolute most wonderful assortment of apps and entrees I’ve ever tasted. Our party of 8 must have had one of each app only to be surpassed by a selection of mains that were unbelievable in taste and preparation. How about a steak with exactly the temperature ordered? Could be the best steak I’ve ever eaten.

A group of 4 of us had dinner here on 4/12. Great experience overall! Service was attentive and friendly. Food selection, especially the steaks, was expansive. We ordered aged sirloin (for 2, cooked medium), dover sole and grilled chicken as main dishes; all were very good. For starters, we had Szechuan noodle (surprisingly tasteful), salad and something else (forgot). Here is BYOB, which is even better as we can drink our fine wines.
