We came for breakfast but forgot to take photos of our plates. Husband ordered the ham and cheese omelette with wheat toast and I ordered two eggs over easy with ham and flour tortillas. Both plates also included a small side of hash browns and refried beans, and we enjoyed everything. The service was very friendly and efficient. The desserts looked delicious! Next time we will try lunch or dinner and dessert.

One of the best but often difficult parts of traveling is choosing where to eat. Sabor Real did not disappoint. The aguas frescas were delicious and not watered down. The chiles rellenos verdes we’re some of the best I’ve ever tasted. My kids enjoyed their pork and chicken tamales, and my husband’s fajitas were delicious. We shared a piece of pastel de tres leches for dessert, and it was wonderful also. The service was friendly, and if we were staying in town longer, we would come back.

Very very tasty! We tried several popular restaurants in Taos and it seemed like ingredients here were better quality than most. Especially the green and red chile and the corn tortillas. Peaked into the kitchen and saw the tortillas being made from scratch. Less popular than other places. Seems like it hasn’t been recognized yet.

Great addition to Taos with delicious, affordable New Mexican food, and with very friendly staff. We had tamales, Chile Rellenos, chopped steak with green chile, Frito Pie, and a cheeseburger – all were fresh, and full of flavor. Nothing was too spicy – for that, try their red and green homemade hot sauces, served on the table with your meal. So good we went home with big takeaway cups of both of them! Looking forward to coming back and trying more things from the menu.

Don’t bother with this place. Go to Michael’s Kitchen next door or Orlando’s 2 miles up the road for a better dining experience. I don’t see how this restaurant ever deserved it’s current 4.8 rating as my experience was not good on many different levels. Let’s start with the service – we’re on the patio at 11AM, there are only 2 other tables with customers, yet we had to wait forever for someone to bring water, to take our order, no one refilled our water nor came out to check on us or bring a bill. It was laughable how inattentive the service was. The food was extremely average – my wife’s fajita’s looked more like stir fried beef – not much flavor or spice; the veggies were barely cooked. They served boring corn tortillas with the meal. The chips & salsa appetizer was good, but that’s the best thing I can say about Sabor Real. I really don’t like to give negative reviews, but this place really didn’t seem to be putting any effort into delivering a quality experience. You can do better elsewhere…..

This is a small family restaurant serving delicious authentic New Mexican dishes. We went for breakfast, ate outside, and encountered what appeared to be local and friendly customers. We both had something different from the menu and both of us loved our food.

An amazing breakfast/brunch. Gave us water immediately and took our order with in minutes. Even through they were short staffed, they made sure the friend and I got our food and enjoyed the omelets we ate. Will most lucky eat here again!

Tried the Relleno plate with homemade flour tortillas, and sampled my family’s pork tamales, shrimp tacos, and shared their chips and salsa. Everything was delicious, good portions, and tasted like family had cooked it. Highly recommend!!!

We’ve eaten here several times. The food is delicious and the service is great!! Everyone is so friendly. The menudo is one of the best I’ve found in Taos. The carne adovada is also fantastic. We like to try different items on the menu each time we come and we have yet to be disappointed.

Small family owned restaurant that has authentic food with great flavor. I had the Huevos Rancheros and my wife had the breakfast enchiladas and they were both fantastic! Prices are reasonable for Taos.
