First visit two years ago and had the mole poblano and it was definitely gourmet level dish. Have been back two or three more times and the mole is just not what it was that first time. What happened? I’ll give it one more try in the near future…

Food is fabulous! And our waitress was so nice considering that we came in last minute. We didn’t know they were closing so soon, yet we got exceptional customer service. I highly recommend this place. We also went for breakfast on Sunday and had Menudo, it was great. Their Cafe de Olla was awesome!

A hidden gem here in our backyard. There are many Mexican Restaurants in Rancho but no Sabor a Mi. Especially on a Friday night. Not only do they have a nicely clean decorated atmosphere but they have live Mariachis. We have even hired the mariachis for a private event. We have been coming here since COVID when patio seating was only thing available and the mariachis were playing in the parking lot. Drinks and food are great, people are super friendly. Kinda sad that this place is not as full as it should be considering what it has to offer. Unfortunately, in the IE a lot people don’t go out and enjoy a good thing even if it’s in their backyard. You won’t regret a night out here.

We just moved to Rancho from Pasadena and we’re looking for a new date night spot. Sabor A Mi is it!!! Their food is absolutely delicious! We’ve been twice and have ordered 6 different dishes, and every bite is perfection! The drinks are amazing too and pretty strong. They have a Mariachi band on Fridays and the staff is wonderful, especially Irma!

I’ve seen this place a few times and I finally went to try it out. I went with a friend for dinner on a cold rainy Sunday. When we were seated, the waitress told us that their chef went home thinking it was a slow evening so they would be running a little slow. Thought, fine, they probably have chips and salsa we can munch on meanwhile. We were a little indecisive about what to order but after about 10 minutes, we were finally approached to place our order. After another 10ish minutes of sitting there, we were asked if we wanted chips and salsa, of course we did we were hungry. After another 5-10 minutes we asked our waitress if we could please have the chips and salsa again and a sprite. Nope, still nothing. We saw our neighboring table get treated very well, while we just sat there hungry, with one drink, no chips and salsa and no sprite for my friend. Our food finally came and to our disappointment, it was mediocre. Yes, the chef went home early but there were other cooks there. We originally ordered mixed fajitas and a carne asada plate but we were given the wrong fajitas. We took the wrong order because after over half an hour of sitting there, we were so hungry!! The rice has poblano chilies so it’s a little bit different but not the worse. Carne asada didn’t have much flavor. My favorite part of my meal was the grilled nopal and fresh handmade tortillas. The restaurant was very beautifully decorated inside and the plates were very unique. The restaurant was super cold due to the weather and the waitress disclosed that the chef locked the thermostat therefore no heater. Maybe we visited on an off day but I wouldn’t come here again. The staff was friendly when they actually acknowledged us; when we were 1 of 2 tables left.

Charming little restaurant with a lot of character. The Mariachis were a pleasant surprise! Street tacos were a 10+. Very fun atmosphere. Beans were bland, (Reason for 4 stars), rice was good but unusual, I still ate it all. Couple sitting next to us were fun and had the mariachis playing some great songs. Going to be returning soon.

I’m a stickler for a good mole poblano and wow this place has taken the #1 spot for me. Amazing flavors, food cooked perfectly, and don’t get me started on the service. Ordered camarones a la diabla. Salsa turned out too spicy for my friend’s liking so we kindly asked for a different salsa. They brought out another and made sure we were happy with it. The drinks are also great for tequila and mezcal lovers. The manager, Rosy, was super friendly and talked to us about different menu and drink options and geniunely cared about our experience here. Hands down my favorite restaurant now. Can’t wait for my next dinner here.

Will not be returning . Server threatened to take tables apart after 20min of waiting for my guests even though place was empty. When asked about it she blamed it on her boss .. was rude to my elderly guest when she tried to order the prematurely. Not a good experience trying to celebrate a special day with family . Very hot inside

THE FOOD IS AMAZING!!!! Service in on point. Margaritas are made with fresh lime juice squeezed every day! I went for a bite on Thursday night and raved about it so much, my husband wanted to try it. Needless to say, I was back on Friday and this time, I took pictures. We have a new favorite spot! Full bar with TVs and the decor is beautiful.

The food we ordered from here was awful. We ordered SIMPLE food (enchiladas). The tortillas were so soggy, the chicken was chewy, and the rice that came with it was crunchy.
