Food is always great but service this time was horrible. Our waitress was just plain rude. Her attitude was very negative. She didn’t serve us chips and salsa and when we asked for it she was super annoyed. She brought our food and check at the same time. Never asked us if we wanted a refill of drinks or if we needed napkins. We had to ask a different server. Other than the horribly rude server Rutillio’s always hits the spot.

Very popular restaurant in Belen. My first time here. Excellent breakfast and lunch menu choices. Felt very down home and community oriented. Large portions and yummy sopapillas. Server was friendly. You have to drive a few minutes off the interstate to Main Street, which is very simple. Ample parking.

This place was amazing all the way thru !! From the chips and salsa down to the main order old school type vibe going into this place, old fashioned one of a kind ill say these places are getting very scarce by the year , and me and my family found this as we were ending our evening of moving chicken supplies and barn supplies sat down and the food hit the spot, my lady ordered the natillas and was perfect I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone passing thru Belen N.M you won’t regret it that’s a fact

My favorite dish is the carne adovada! I haven’t been to this little Jem here in Belen but what I was told is the other restaurants is different cooks. Well all I can say was the dish brought memories back when my dad would make the carne adovada from fresh, with spices and great hot red Chile from pods. I would of had a picture but I had to dig in as soon as I got my plate. The heat was just right and the cuts of meat were cut 1×1 inch perfectly I replaced my rice with potatoes and they were nice and crispy. Portion was just enough for a 44 year old man. This carne adovada would also go good as a burrito or stuffed sopa, or just like it is. Service was excellent for a Saturday afternoon. One complaint they didn’t have Coke Zero lol.
