Great place. Love the outdoors patio seating. Wonderful food cannot go wrong with any item. Did not have the hamburger, but it must be good because every table I say someone was eating one. Sirloin and shrimp was tremendously good. Wife had pot roast and mashed potatoes. Excellent service. Weekend entertainment was a great touch to a great night.

Amazing history here. Ruth’s is a classic in the Valley. Atmosphere is great, food is good if you know what to get… Salmon, fried pickles, Eric’s chicken, and you must get the chocolate malt pudding. One of kind. Worth the drive up the canyon just for the pudding.

Food was good. Wife & I had the pot roast. Had a very good home style taste and feel to it. Which was welcomed.

Established in 1 930 this restaurant was a find. The original dining car has expanded to a full restaurant seating over 150 in and out. Great food and loads of it. I had the hummus plate which would have fed two. Loads of prosciutto and salami with salads and pita bread. My wife’s Cobb salad was excellent. Lots of history on the walls. Ruth looked like a tough old bird and definitely breaks the area mould with a cigarette stand photo and selling grog. Something else for the 1930s.

The biscuits are crispy on the outside and the texture is just fine not too dry, and the food portion is large. Good place for hanging out with friends or family.

This place was fantastic. We showed up and waiting about 2 minutes to be sat inside. We were greeted by our waiter, Adam, immediately and ordered. The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. The biscuits were to die for and the hashbrowns were out of this world. I will for sure be back if I’m in Salt Lake again.

I got there just as the Sunday lunch rush finished so I was able to be seated quickly. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. The meal was very good. I suggest eating only half the biscuit if you want to have a dessert.

Great spot for breakfast or lunch outside SLC. Nested in beautiful mountains. Great elevated diner fare. Best ever house made biscuits that are served complementary before each meal. Wonderful history of Ruth starting the diner. So much charm and good eats. Highly recommended for family meal, a date, friends catch-up or really any occasion.
