The pheasant civet isn’t for every one but good. The pecan walleye is good, subtly sweet with a good white fish taste. The Maryland ribeye is very good rare with the lump crab. The cheese cake was very good.

Tomahawk steak is no longer on the menu. I ordered the Wagyu steak. I have had this a few times at other restaurants & this steak did not meet my Wagyu Beef standards. It’s a very thin cut with way more fat/marbling than with other cuts I’ve had. Definitely not worth the price. Everything else was good! Staff friendly. Took the cheesecake home, highly recommend!!!

Ambiance is nice, the restaurant is small, only 12 tables. Very intimate feel. I can’t believe I’ve been coming to Grand Falls for 8 years and tonight was the first time I’ve eaten here.

Food at Ruthies was above average. 6oz filet was cooked to perfect med rare. The steak itself was under seasoned but the glaze on top luckily added just enough salt to save it from being bland. The cold herbed butter on top would have been a nice addition except that it was cold and stayed that way the whole meal. Because it didn’t melt I was breaking of cold pieces off herbed butter to eat with my bites of steak. Good idea, poor execution. Garlic mashed potatoes were good, not great. They too could have used more seasoning—more garlic and more salt. The wedge salad was very good—large cubes of bacon and chunks of blue cheese made it smokey, salty, and savory. The complimentary dinner rolls were fresh, warm and delicious paired with balsamic and olive oil and/or lemon butter.

First time trying out Ruthie’s and it did not disappoint. The chislic was so tender, the garlic mashed potatoes were so so creamy and good. And that steak was *chef’s kiss*. Waiter heard it was my birthday and I got a free cheesecake so that was nice of them! Worth every penny!

Food, service, and atmosphere was very good. Some people say its expensive(my bill for 2 steak dinners, appetizer, and 1 cocktail was $135 including tax),but you get what you pay for. I can’t wait to go again. Great date night restaurant!

I was fortunate enough to have my first A5 wagyu experience here and might I say, it was worth it. Will be back soon.

Ordered the rack of lamb that was listed on menu as 10oz. I understand that it is the weight with bone in. But then list is as a French cut lamb chop and not a rack. Barely four bones and not even 2oz of edible meat. Just sad. And the so called 16oz of King Crab. Drinks were good and it’s always nice to have warm sourdough bread brought to your table. Just too many negatives for a restaurant that is described as “fine dining”. This is no way close. Safe bet is to order steak and keep it simple with ordering medium or well.

We had the special which was a fillet of beef with asparagus and hollandaise sauce drizzled over a small lobster. The shell of the lobster was stuffed with crab cake filling. The steak was cooked perfectly. Fresh bread with herb butter and seasoned olive oil was served with the wedge salad that we split. The cocktails were excellent: sidecar martini and a blackberry bourbon smash. Ruthies is expensive for our area, but the quality compares to food served only at high end restaurants in larger cities. In those places, these prices would be a bargain.
