Our name Rusty Taco comes from our founder Rusty Fenton, who was passionate about food and had a dream to open a neighborhood taco stand. That dream came true when our first restaurant opened in in in 2010 in Dallas, TX.

The most underwhelming tacos, meat was dry and lacking any tasty qualities, like a fast food taco at restaurant prices. There are a lot of taco choices, this will not be one I go back to, even with BOGO coupons.

Rusty Tacos is not the place for you. They screwed my girls over with their tacos and THEYRE OVERPRICED FOR A TAC! They didn’t give me my avacado and didn’t have good service. SALUTE.

Rusty Taco has a look that is part sports bar, part Chipotle and part Chicken & Pickle. The intent is to be a place to go hang out with fiends, eat, drink and have fun. Sounds like a winner.

Why have masks on if no one wears them right is my first question. Second question why have 12 year old kid the one ringing up orders when he can’t answer any menu questions and is your first impression of your new restaurant? Terrible experience from start to finish. All 6 tables in my section remained unclean for my visit. The jalapeño sausage taco was so bad I didn’t eat it. Trash on floor needs swept. Sauce bottle sitting in dirty water mixing with sauce. Guests are having to clean there own tables now. I ordered a different taco since mine was so bad. Think they lost my order its been 10 minutes. I’d be mad but it’s almost funny how bad this visit is going. I would request a different burrito if I saw a manager or even an employee in the lobby. I spoke to an owner she did have 2 new tacos made which if I grade just the food it would be good enough. I also saw a real effort to correct what I reported to them.

1st time visit. It tasted so good. I didn’t even think of photos until it was gone. The spicy fried chicken taco was great (even though not really spicy) and the bowl was tasty, although it isn’t listed on the online menu. Will return to try more items.

Having been born and raised in San Diego for 21 yrs, I have a tendency to be a bit picky with my Mexican food, but after one visit, this place has become our new favorite restaurant in Lawrence! Not only is the food DELICIOUS, it is also very reasonably priced. $10 can get you VERY generous portions of queso, guac, and salsa (seriously, they give you all three on the same platter!) along with an unlimited supply of hot, fresh tortilla chips. For another $10 (half-price pitchers on Mondays!), you can get a 32oz pitcher of margaritas (the PERFECT size for two healthy servings) with a nice wide selection of flavors to choose from. The staff have all been super friendly, and the service is LIGHTNING fast! Really can’t recommend this place enough! Can’t wait to go back!

Sorry we waited so long to try this! We got take-out because it was almost closing time. The burrito was so good and spicy, as was the queso. We’ll definitely be back and will try margarita specials too!
