My fiancé and I are from NJ and after a very long trip, found this place online and decided to stop for breakfast. Best choice ever. Food was phenomenal. He got the OG Eggs Benedict on a popover and I got the almond butter waffle with a side of potatoes and sausage. I don’t have one bad thing to say. Everything exceeded our expectations. Our server was very new but super sweet and the manager of the place (wasn’t able to catch her name) did a great job of guiding her when needed. Manager was also super friendly, sociable, and laughing and talking with us as well as other guests. Just a great atmosphere paired with great food. Our next trip to Vermont we will absolutely be back!

I got confit chicken and waffles. The waffle was perfect. It had a slight cakeyness inside and a nicely browned outside that wasn’t dry or tough. There was just a hint of maple on it, making it sweet but just subtly. The chicken was cut thinly and had a beautiful crispness. On its own the chicken would have been too salty but paired with the sweetness of the waffle it made for a perfect bite. Even the little bed of lettuce that came on top was dressed in a restrained but delicious way. Whoever is in the kitchen seems to know exactly what they want to achieve with that dish and is working hard to make it happen. It was our servers’ first day but she was still lovely and did a great job. If you go to Rustic Roots there’s a very good chance you’ll leave happy.

Great breakfast place. First time there and loved it. Had the mushroom and truffle omelette that was amazing along with the pop up!! All staff and servers were so friendly and nice. It was out 1st time in Vermont and the waitress we had was welcoming and happy to give us suggestions of places to see. Highly recommend!
