Great place to experience former USSR culture and food. We enjoy the atmosphere and great selection of menu as well as tea time platters.

Amazing experience both for the service and the ambiance. Felt like we were whisked away to a Russian Imperial Palace! The decor and table setting was like fine dining and very themed. We had really great service and the horseradish vodka shot is a must! You can get fancy caviar service here, and if you do, trust the waiter’s recommendations. They’re very friendly and knowledgeable!

Beautiful little restaurant hidden away in the loop. The pictures don’t do it justice, you feel like you’ve stepped back in time to a more elegant era.

My recent dining experience at Russian Tea Time was truly remarkable. From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to a cozy and inviting atmosphere that exuded Russian charm.

We could not have had a better experience for lunch. Kate’s cordial service, charm, and helpful recommendations brought the most amazing samplings of Russian and Ukrainian cuisine. The honey cake at the end also won us over. Don’t miss this institution when visiting Chicago!

This is a cute place for Afternoon Tea, but also full on meals. I plan to come back and try more items off their menu, but all I had this visit was the Medovik (honey cake).

It’s beautiful inside! Great atmosphere! We had the queens tea and there was a good assortment of savory/sweet flavors. The vodka flight was amazing too. Very impressed with the flavored vodka.

Googled vegetarian restaurants, led to Russian tea time, really loved the atmosphere, beautiful classic decor, and CLASSIC Russian music

We just happened across the Russian Tea Time on our visit to Chicago, what a happy surprise and it’s a woman owned business (added plus!). We came in for the borscht and ended up staying for a Russian tea sampler. What a delight! You get a little (a lot) of many of their famous appetizers and entrees. We also had to add their traditional Russian tea and honey cake….sooooo good!

Stroganoff was very good, and the platter for 2 people was also good. Reservation is recommended for weekends.
