Went here for lunch today. My food was served with hair in it and the server debated me on not seeing the hair which was clear to me and not to him as he wore glasses. Refused to bring me new food cause he couldn’t find the hair that moved from him searching thru my plate as soon as it was placed in front of me untouched by me. Server stated he needed to show the thin fine piece of hair in my food to the chef in order to correct the service. This service was horrible and the worse I have ever experienced!

We ate in the upstairs, more affordable “tavern” than the steakhouse downstairs. Quite noisy, and it seemed like there were only two waiters and one food runner for a very large crowd. Food was VERY slow in coming, but was tasty enough. Got more quiet the longer we stayed. The tavern part of the restaurant is a nice addition to places like it that are sorely missing and much needed in Bernardsville.

Had a really good burger here 6 months ago. The one I ordered last night looked half the size like a slider and came with a few limp fries thrown on the plate. Service was robotic and disconnected….off night or has complacency been achieved?

We arrived at 9:40 pm and were treated like a true inconvenience. The barmaid made it known they wanted to close soon. We weren’t offered menus, we had to ask. She tried to take my glass before it was empty and stood there encouraging me to finish it. The service was so uninviting we won’t go back.
