Amazing beer bar with great food! Large and delicious selection of great beer including local and a few Belgian options. Very friendly bartender. Delicious wings with really good blue cheese sauce. Burger was slightly overcooked for medium rare, but still delicious! Some of the best fries I have had for a while with amazing ninja sauce. Definitely my new go to for New Haven!

Wow! Just wow! My friend and I decided to go for a quick bite to eat and it was FABULOUS! Kevin, the bartender/server was amazing! He evens hums as he works so shout out to him for the multi-tasking! We had the frites with three sauces, spinach artichoke dip, and Brussels sprouts! And wanna hear the best part? We went back again the next day and order the same food and had the privilege of seeing Kevin again. He made our meal happen on Sunday even though it was a brunch day! Also, alert! Added to the menu are churros and crème brûlée! Just amazing job Kevin! We loved chatting with you! Thanks for making it a fabulous time. And Ariel you rock too!

The bartender/server (you order your food at the bar) kept walking away and talking to other people while taking our order. Unsurprisingly, when my food came out, it was not what I ordered. They brought me a replacement quickly, but both the burger and the bun were burnt so much that it was hard it chew. By that point I was so hungry that I didn’t care, but it definitely wasn’t worth any money. I honestly can’t blame the bartender because she was the only person behind the bar and having to make drinks, take orders, and hand out take-out bags for delivery services.

To be honest, sorely disappointed with the experience I had at Rudy’s. The potential for a great bar in the center of Yale’s campus is off the charts…and yet, we were treated poorly and the expectations fell way short. Never in my life have I been told to get the F out of a bar for showing my real id and being told it was fake. Shaking my head Rudy’s. Do better.
