The decor is rustic but the restaurant is very loud. My husband ordered pork tacos and I ordered vegetarian for our entrees. They put them all on the same plate so my vegetarian entrees were overlapping on pork and had pork on the edges. When I asked, I was told that was the way they served them Family style. I have never had a restaurant mix vegetarian dishes with meat ones. We separated them but then the slaw was missing. When I asked I was told there was a misprint on the menu and the tacos didn’t actually come with the side of slaw. They brought a side dish but honestly I didn’t get the impression they understood that they shouldn’t put both pork and vegetarian entrees on the same plate. As far as restaurants go, this isn’t really an option for vegetarians.

We loved La Bodega! Great food, great service! We highly suggest the Garlic Cilantro Shrimp! The fish tacos were top notch! Super tasty Margaritas with crushed ice!! Support local!!

We visited here for dinner Saturday night and we noticed a few issues; 1) The open kitchen seems to prevent the restaurant from being able to be cooled to a comfortable level. 2) We ordered appetizers and after they came out I ordered the ceviche for my dinner (it’s under the entree portion) and my husband the tacos. The ceviche was brought out but not the tacos. After 15 or so minutes we asked about my husband’s dinner and why the ceviche was brought out so early and she said it was because it was an appetizer. We already had appetizers and THEN ordered our meals so that didn’t make sense. 3) They appeared to be extremely short staffed for a Saturday night. The restaurant didn’t appear to be at full capacity, but maybe 80% yet they lacked the attentiveness that would have made it a more bearable experience. Our original waitress seemed to disappear mid service and we never saw her again. The young lady at the hostess stand ended up being our server for the rest of the evening. Needless to say, we won’t be returning or recommending this restaurant.

We enjoyed our lunch and will come back. The service and atmosphere were excellent. The food was definitely unique and flavorful. The menu was a bit too limited, and maybe that’s because they are new at the time I am writing this review. I loved the mushroom taco. I wish they have a vegetarian empanada.

For the restaurant just opening, it was ok. The margaritas and the mojito were amazing! For the price of the food and what you get, it seems pretty expensive and you don’t get a lot. It was strange getting a sharing platter and the whole dinner was pretty much French fries and barely any meat, very weird since this is a Mexican restaurant. If I wanted fries, I would’ve walked across the street to Rude Burger.

So happy to have this new option in town. Atmosphere was really cool, staff was on it and great. Veggie tacos were some of the best I’ve had, Ceviche was awesome as was the chips and salsa & guac. And most importantly, the margaritas were A+. This will be a regular spot for us!

As for all the other Rude properties, the ambience at Bodega is very cool. I live just around the corner and love having this as a place to pop in for a margarita. Our table had the ceviche and chips/dips for starters, and then all the different tacos. As an avid ceviche maker and eater, I thought that it was very nice. The tortilla chips were great, the salsa, guacamole, and queso were the same as I would get anywhere. For tacos we had chicken, carne, and Al Pastor, as well as the fried fish. The quality was fresh & the tortillas were obviously also just made, although they could’ve been a little sturdier; they fell apart pretty quickly. I think the flavor could be bolder. The sauces were good, though again, a little bland. Refried beans were good. Service was attentive and polite. Bodega has had a terrific kick off and I’ll definitely be going back!

Drinks took 20 minutes after I reminded the waitress 15 minutes in. My wife’s meal was brought out and 20 minutes later I had to ask about my meal. Second drinks took another 20 mins. We hadn’t seen the waitress for quite a while and I joked, “I guess she quit and went home”. When I asked someone to get our waitress they said, “Oh she quit and went home”.
