What a wonderful lunch! My friend and I were looking for Indian food in Folsom, and came across Ruchi Indian Cuisine. We each got the very well priced lunch special, Chicken Tikka Masala for me, and Chicken Curry for her. We were delighted when our lunch came out on large trays, with the food arrayed beautifully. Lunch includes entree, rice with vegetables, dal, a mini samosa, little savory rice (?) stars, naan, and a little dessert. The food was delicious and filling and the service was great. Definitely going back. Eat here!

Same experience as Cali. Chicken tikka masala had very few dry chicken pieces. Overall their food quality and quantity have gone bad. If they cut corners like this they will loose customers.

We had not been here since before covid but recently ordered takeout from Ruchis. We were disappointed to find that the chicken in the butter chicken and chicken tikka masala was very dry inside. Aside from dry, each dish came in a plastic container that was 90 percent sauce and LITERALLY a couple bites of chicken. About 17 bucks for maybe 3 bites of chicken seems insane. Both dishes were like that, all sauce. The rice and nan were ok. Not sure we will be back unless it’s to eat at their buffet to give the food a try. Maybe the dryness was a one-off?

We dined in and the food was just amazing. The service there is magnificent. Sarinivaos( I probably mispelled his name) but he is amazing and so nice. The prices of the food too are reasonable. If I could give this place more than a 5 star, I would…

Ruchi food is always nice and sumptuous especially when it’s buffet. They started buffet couple months ago and I am going “yes!!!”. Best value lunch in entire Folsom!!

Not satisfied overall. No chicken dum biriyani available on Sunday, which is fine but we were told other biriyani’s available. But egg biriyani looked like a fried rice.

Ordered one Mango lassi with other foods and the lassi was delicious and perfect. Food was ok. So ordered 4 mango lassi next time and they tasted just like a sugar water. Basically they just added lots of water and sugar to one cup of mango lassi and adjusted to 4 cups. Lesson learned and will never order again any beverages from here. Waste of money. This is how restaurants loose customers when they compromise on quality to save few bucks and not thinking of long term consequences.

Favorite Indian food in Folsom. My wife and I absolutely LOVE Indian food and the first time we went to Ruchi we knew we found our favorite place. It has a southern Indian flair to it which makes everything taste incredible! They also have cheese naan, which I haven’t been able to find anywhere other than Australia. If you’re in the area, this is the beat Indian food.

They try, just not hard enough they are using the big excuse covid why they have no buffet, little disappointed about that even they show buffet pictures on there website . So 20 years ago I ate there several times which was my first taste of Indian food and that made me fall in love with the cuisine. It’s changed And I can honestly say it’s not me just there recipes and cooks maybe due to costs but twenty years later it’s now the worst indian restaurant I have ever had.

Tried fish pakora, chicken biryani, chicken shik kabob. Food is really tasty. My wife loves their fish pakora.
