Order the office’s lunch online earlier this week for pickup. Easy parking. He greeted me quickly and told me where I could go to pick up my order. Candy allowed me to watch her bag everything up so my office wouldn’t be mad at me for missing anything. The atmosphere is very inviting. I was about to enjoy the shrimp pasta but ordered Mac and cheese and the holy trinity also. Mac and cheese was heavenly. Greens deliciously taste like home. I enjoyed the bread options, too. Had the cornbread and a honey biscuit. The total was a little over $200. That was 3 shrimp pasta, 2 chicken wing meals, salmon, and 4 drinks. Looking forward to trying other options on the menu from ‘cousin’.

Very nice location for this new restaurant. It’s new and there was not an empty seat in the place and already the patrons overwhelming this establishment. On Sunday afternoon when I went to pick up dinner there was a 45 minute to-go order wait time . It’s Sunday, did you forget people would be coming for dinner? Seems to me like they weren’t prepared for the successful turnout hence wind up unprepared to serve in a timely manner.

This is our favorite spot to hit whenever we are craving soul food. The price is great for the portion sizes and delicious food you get. catfish and fried chicken are bomb, and the collard greens and Mac and cheese are amazing as well.

I tried the older restaurant once and just wasn’t pleased with the food taste and quality of it. The fish was fried too hard, the greens weren’t good and the corn bread tasted old as if it was made several days ago.

The food is good and the new space is nice but I do not understand WHY you can’t select your food as you go through the line?!? The current system of paying for your food then waiting 30mins makes NO SENSE unless it’s a special order outside of the readily available sides,fried seafood and chicken.

Blackened Catfish was way too salty. Texture was good but it was literally too salty to eat. Didn’t need the gravy or whatever it was drowning in. Mac and Cheese was a little too loose for my taste but good flavor. Peach Cobbler, cabbage and greens were on point.

This is a new location in Bowie. It was nice butseatinf near the windows on a sunny day is not a good idea. The food is great but the wait time wasn’t. Oh and as much as you spend on a meal, a cup of ice should be free but it wasn’t. It cost the full price of a soda. Even with that I’d eat there again. Looks like there is a beautiful private dining space for events.
