They have the best breakfast food I have ever tasted. Everything was delicious. The seasoning, texture, just everything was superb. Our waitress was very sweet and had great customer service and our food was out in no time. I was with a group of 4 when we first came on a Friday morning visiting from Georgia. It was so delicious that we came again the next morning. I will definitely be back next time I visit.

I was really hungry this morning. This place hit the spot. I started with candied bacon, MUST GET!!!! I had the eggs cochon, basically eggs Benedict but with pulled pork and a biscuit. Everything was perfect. I loved it. My neighbor at the bar ordered biscuits and gravy. Coffee was also delicious. Dress is casual, staff is friendly and prices are fair.

Local brunch spot with southern flavors. The vanilla latte with nutmeg was a great way to start the morning. The restaurant is located in a good location for walking but lots of construction and loud. I enjoyed the homemade biscuit but the grits were not my personal favorite. What made the experience was our server, he was friendly, outgoing, and full of personality (don’t remember name but he was training & from Columbia). One of the best servers I’ve had in a while. Overall a great brunch spot for drinks & southern classics.

Brunch, food was very tasty! I had biscuits and gravy and sweet heat fried chicken. Candied bacon was amazing so were the French toast bites! Reservations are recommended because it gets really busy!

The Ruby Slipper Cafe is a delightful place to grab brunch. It was recommended to me while visiting, and I have no regrets! I ordered the Bananas Foster French Toast, which, according to their menu, is a specialty of theirs. It was delicious! Everything that I saw pass by just made me want to come back again and again to try it all. Bonus points to all the staff here being welcoming and friendly. Alas! I have only a limited time here in New Orleans. But I will be back, and I will be visiting the Ruby Slipper again!

The wait can be long, so definitely get on the wait list. I got the southern breakfast. My niece got the shrimp & Grits with the stuffed French toast and mimosa flight. The food was really good. Our server was slow, and there were 2 different people taking our order and bringing out food. We were not checked on. Other then that, I’d recommend this location.

The food here was absolutely amazing & the service was wonderful. There was a long wait however & the seating was pretty tight. Nevertheless the food was worth it! I love the Cajun plays on traditional breakfast items. Definitely coming back next time I’m in the city.

If you’re looking for a great southern breakfast or brunch spot, then look no further. Go in with an appetite come out satisfied. Highly highly recommend the White Chocolate Bread Pudding Pancakes. These come with a side of bacon and by far the best pancakes I’ve had in my life. If you don’t mind the wait which can be upwards of 2 hours, I strongly suggest giving Ruby Slipper Cafe a try.

Food was great! My husband got the Bananas Foster French Toast and I got the Biscuits and Gravy. All delicious! We sat at the bar and the staff was hardworking and friendly. This place was very busy, but worth the short wait to get seats. The servers and kitchen staff seemed quick and efficient. Only thing – try to get a seat deeper inside the restaurant so you don’t smell the garbage truck when it drives by.

Definitely was a great spot for breakfast/ brunch and conveniently located walking distance to the Creole Queen. The waitlist process was simple, but you will need your entire party there when you check in. The service was amazing! Everyone had smiles and was very knowledgeable of menu items. The food came out pretty fast but wasn’t as fresh as expected, but still delicious nonetheless. Portions are Texas sized and the homemade biscuit is moist and fluffy. Favorite suggested menu items were the White Chocolate Banana Pudding stuffed pancake, eggs Benedict and the mimosa flight.
