Food is great; I’ve been here twice now. I don’t love that there isn’t any AC, and the place does have an odd sense of decor, but the fish and chips are crispy and delicious. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

Stamford’s version of traditional English fish & chips shop. Not bad, but everything is in fact, deep fried. The guys there are super nice. There seems to always be locals eating there so that is a pretty good endorsement that people love it.

I go here all the time. My daughter had surgery so we ordered in. It was awful and I called and even though their English isn’t their first language I always have conversations with them. Today the man hung up on me because he did not want to deal with the issue.

Don’t like writing bad reviews but this place definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. Staff was ok the place looked nice but the food wasn’t. To start I ordered shrimp and fries. Fries were stale, shrimp was ok though it felt like frozen shrimp, the batter was very undercook to almost runny. Not only did I get wrong order old man asked if I wanted large or small, I asked for the large and I was given 6 or 7 shrimp with a mountain of stale fries which that order was listed at 8.90 (cool) I added a drink and paid. While in my car I noticed I was charged almost $18….. $18 for a mountain of fries and 6 or 7 shrimp. Place has a lot of good reviews but I don’t think I’ll ever do business there again.

Best fish and chips i have had in a long time. Battered cod; in my book the best fish and chips raw material. Big portion and low price. And the owners are a pleasure to deal with. Best F&C around–eat it there so it burns your mouth!

order was wrong first of all, stinks like rotten oil inside, batter falls off food, super greasy, staff gets order wrong then when you drive all the way back there to pick up an order they messed up, they still charge for it!, this is not authentic fish and chips, unless you live in juarez mexico. another business gone down the drain , due to compromise of quality.
