I stopped at this location at about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday night (we’ll Sunday morning technically 9/3). I wouldn’t expect anyone to be as pleasant that late as the young man that I had the pleasure of talking to. Truly a wonderful and genuine person. His customer service was some of the best I’ve ever experienced. I wish I had gotten his name so I could give him a shout out here. What a wonderfully unexpected start to my road trip!

I didn’t come here with high expectations, but what kind of fast food restaurant doesn’t have combo meals? $7.30 for a chicken sandwich and $3.79 for fries and another $3.39 for a soda? Geez.

I stopped in to get some food as I am traveling and went to this Roy Rodgers. I didn’t not catch the woman’s name but she is very short and on the older side. It looked like the employees were wrapping up for the night so I politely asked if they were closing. If they were closing I wasn’t going to order food from there. The lady goes , no, can’t you see the lights still on. Okay cool, not a problem. I continue to order to order and asked for a double cheeseburger combo. They don’t sell combos at this location and did not notice. She proceeds to say “where on that menu does it say combo.” So I just walked out. Pretty rude if you ask me.

The food was decent for turnpike fast food. The price was as expected for turnpike facilities. But it was probably the first time I had a Roy Rodgers biscuit that did not taste like a salt lick, so that is a big plus for me. The amount of fries that were in my regular sized container seemed a little light for the size of the container. Service was a little slow, but it was understandable as it appeared that only 2 employees were on duty, one cooking and one that was working register and also putting orders together. They were diligently working, but with the amount of customers, it was difficult for them to keep up.

I wish I had read the reviews first. Horrible food! I wanted a fish sandwich and got a “platter”. Nowhere Does it say how to order the fish except for a sometimes flash of a fish sandwich picture. Guy who said burgers were like the frozen baked was right on. Fish was dry. Fries tasted old and reheated. Overpriced. Interesting that the owner only responds to good reviews. Also Interesting that you can’t find a corporate number. I will never eat at another Roy Rogers.
