Tonight seemed like a good night for a burger. I looked for highly rated local burger places that allowed take-out orders even on weekends (looking at you Crusade.) I’ve lived in Yorkville for over 3 years and never have stopped in Rowdy’s before. So it was an interesting bar experience. I wasn’t sure which way to get into the pub. Spoiler alert: it’s the back entrance, LOL. I walked in and thought I was in the bar’s kitchen which was weird, but whatever, I just wanted to grab my food and go. As I walked further in, they had a game room, and some digital slot machines along the wall next to the bar. The atmosphere in the main bar/seating area is a small town bar vibe with a generous sprinkle of modern hip vibe. My food was hot and fresh. When I got home, I dived in. The cheese curds were a good texture, but the flavor was different than what I’m familiar with. They were very garlicky. And they were VERY greasy. I like garlic, but I didn’t love it for the curds. Then I ordered the Van Helsing burger. Here’s where I both really enjoyed the burger, but also thought it was way too rich. The flavor was very garlic-parmesany which was very nice actually. And the parmesan chip was fantastic! (this really speaks volumes because this is like greasy college bar food that’s perfect after a night of moderate to heavy drinking. It was unusual, tasty, and had a great texture.) But on top of having the parmesan chip, they also had a melted thick slice of mozzarella and garlic parmesan sauce which I personally thought was what made this burger extra rich. The meat of the burger tasted pretty descent to be honest. But when I bit through this burger, there was an excessive amount of grease. Grease also added to the richness, but in an overwhelming I-hope-this-doesn’t-give-me-a-heart-attack-tomorrow sort of way, but it is typical bar food. Also, the whole meal left my mouth feeling very salty and coated with a thick layer of grease. I would definitely get friends and grab a drink here and maybe an appetizer as long as it’s not deep fried. But I probably won’t be getting burgers from here regularly. I couldn’t finish it or the curds. It sits heavy.

Great burgers among the best of Kendall county one of my favorite spots. Excellent drink specials and the customer service is superior. A hidden gem across the street from another popular burger joint, but these burgers are better and not the tourist spot like their competitor. This is where you will find locals with a friendly attitude.

Very good burger & fresh homemade fries made all the difference. The server she was tentive. Definitely a place to go. And my dad which is a hard person to please even wants to go back.

Ethan is always a delight as a bartender and very attentive. The burger we got was amazing, tots were perfectly crispy. The little arcade game in the side area was a great way to keep from going into a food coma. 10/10

A little disappointed with the PB&J burger…no flavor at all…barely tasted anything. The 1 floppy piece of bacon was the only flavor! The tots however were crispy and delicious. The service was great!

What a yummy surprise! New to Plano and we were looking for a really GOOD burger. Rowdy’s came up in a search and it did NOT disappoint! Up on entering one might think there couldn’t be much to offer. Rowdy’s really is just a small, kind of patched together “dive” of sorts. But the people inside were friendly and chatty, I think we chatted with the owner and the burgers we got were absolutely delicious! Hand-pattied, seasoned beautifully! The only thing that wasn’t wonderful to us were the chicken tenders which were battered to heavy and fried too hard – meat inside was dry. But baaaabay, Rowdy’s obviously hand-battered cheese curds made all the difference! We WILL be returning again and again, it’s our new favorite burger place!

Fun dive bar with real good burgers, cold beers, an assortment of fresh cut fries with addons. Had a good fried chicken sandwich too.

To start, the entrance is in the back – the front door is the outside picture you see with the review. That was confusing, but once we got in we sat ourselves down and the waitress brought out menus pretty quick! She gave us a quick lowdown of their burger menu (which I highly recommend if you come here). There is a bar, but there are also tables and a second level for more seating. They have an astonishing number of burgers here – over 100 different burgers! They break it down into 25 you can order from per quarter, with a menu of over 15 other burgers that are standard year round. The food was absolutely amazing, highly recommend this place!

This is not fine dining, but I have to say the burgers and sides are better than what we’ve had at other sit down restaurants. We went at an off time, middle of the day, and it was not crowded. We look forward to going there again and again! Great local place, so nice to support independent establishments. Great service!

I came to Rowdys for a business lunch on a Tuesday afternoon, and once you are inside it feels you out late at night enjoying with friends. The place has really great burgers and my favorite cheese curds. They are known for their Sunday special Bloody Mary’s which comes with a sandwich of its own. They even have specials for every day of the week, but I got to taste food of their burgers and each one was unique and tasted great.
