Tiny but mighty this diner was great! Packed with families and couples, their menu had many choices to offer and very reasonable prices. My husband had the chocolate chip pancakes and they were large and filled with chips. I had the sausage and pancakes which were very tasty. The staff was friendly and attentive. Decor was nostalgic with a jukebox, model cars on the window sills, car key drapes in the windows, and license plates all over the walls. Definitely give this little gem a try!

This is the first time I’ve been here since it went under new management and I was satisfied with my meal. I tried the breakfast sandwich and blueberry pancakes. The pancakes were the best—thick with lots of blueberries. On the other hand, the breakfast sandwich was just okay. I had to wait a long time for the food, so if the wait was shorter or the quality was better, I think it would have been more worth it. I’ll be going back, but will definitely try some different items.

I hate to do this, as it used to be my favorite breakfast place on the cape. But now it has gone downhill. After the old owners sold it, the whole place hasn’t been the best. The food was terrible. You used to get home fries with every meal. Now you have to add it as a side, which just adds on to the ridiculous prices. My moms egg sandwich had runny egg, and my bagel wasn’t toasted well. When we got our food, 4 different waitresses brought out food out. You only need one. At the old route 28 diner, everything was perfect. It makes me so sad when I think of how bad it’s gotten.

Cons: So sad to see this place under new ownership. The experience and food is nothing like the many great times we’ve had in the past. No diner music playing, menu has totally changed, family vibe has gone out the window, not to mention açaí bowls being advertised everywhere. Although I live a good açaí bowl, what does that have to do with a diner? My husband wasn’t a fan of the pancakes and sausage, both were undercooked. They got rid of fresh maple syrup and opted for the cheap plastic single containers. We asked the waitress for some syrup and she responded with “oh there’s none over there”? (there were 4 of us eating so no, two little containers weren’t enough.

Love the license plates on the walls and ceilings! The food was great, and plenty of it! Hope to get back to the diner soon!

Great small place. Owner is friendly. Not as crowded as the other places.

Service was super slow, the portions were laughable how can you give a customer mabye 10 or less home fries , I won’t mention the coffee, nobody else will either.

Food was pretty gross. Overall low quality. Better off at McDonald’s or with a toaster waffle. I love breakfast, I love diners, this wasn’t it. Cost to quality was not nearly even.

I guess it’s changed hands since our last visit and all I can say is unfortunately we won’t be back. We’ve had a condo since the 80’s and this was one of our favorite places. It started when my husband put cream in his cup of coffee and it curdled. Same thing happened with 2nd bowl of creamers. Watched them take them in and out of the fridge, that is the problem. Been in the business 30 years , creamers do not need to be refrigerated. And if you do refrigerate them they always have to be refrigerated. Use to love your eggs benedict, this was the worst I ever had. I asked for the English muffin to be crispy. It was barely cooked . The eggs were so runny I didn’t eat as I was afraid of getting sick, the hollandaise had a sour taste to it. Never told the server because she never checked back with us. Three servers sitting in a booth, not one ever checked to see how our food was, had to stop one of them to refill our coffee, had to get up and ask one of them to get our check. Can’t blame them totally as who ever is responsible for the training isn’t doing their job, these girls obviously were never trained correctly. We knew something seemed strange when we pulled in and only saw 3 cars in lot on a Saturday morning, use to be a line out the door.

I had been here 4 years ago and was excited to share it with my daughter. It was very shabby. Needs to be reminded.
