Very small diner that looks like it started out as an ice cream stand. First impressions was old and tired, more dive than diner, but I heard the food was good so we gave it a try. Inside didn’t improve our impression, because it smelled like a deep fryer. Service was not great, but I think there was only one person working. However, the food was not bad. My lunch special, tomato, macaroni and ground beef soup was very tasty. The grilled cheese sandwich was loaded with American cheese. The better half’s Grilled Chicken Wrap was basically made to order and tasted good too.

Must say best cheddar cheese burger in a long time, wish we didn’t live an hour away.. don’t be discouraged by the outside. Great food, great prices and great company!! And if your get lucky enough you might get to meet Giovanni.

A very small place to eat. traffic. Limited menu. Closes at 7pm, closed Sat (?). Had a great hotdogs, wife had a great ham and cheese. No wifi or cell due to aluminum siding. Very few places to eat in this area, it is very quiet, almost no ttaffic on most of the roads during the weekdays.

Route 96 diner is between Interlaken and Ovid, NY. It has a nice diner menu. It is tiny.

Driving from Buffalo to NYC and was fortunate to land at the Route 96 Diner. (We actually missed it the first time, it’s so tiny.) The “Tully” burger comes with the works and the homemade chips were excellent. Also, look for homemade cookies, jams, and pies on the counter.
