Rossmoor Diner is hands down the best breakfast spot I’ve come across in the Contra Costa area. My friends and I frequent this charming restaurant for our breakfast gatherings, and we’re always greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. The menu offers a fantastic variety of delicious options to satisfy any breakfast craving. Whether it’s their mouthwatering omelets, fluffy pancakes, or perfectly cooked eggs, each dish is prepared with care and attention to detail. The food is consistently flavorful and cooked to perfection. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff create a welcoming environment that adds to the overall dining experience. If you’re looking for a breakfast spot that never disappoints, I highly recommend Rossmoor Diner. It’s become our go-to place for great food, great company, and a memorable start to our day.

This place is great place to have breakfast. I got the garden omelette with hash brown and English muffin. The fruit was extra.

Great dinner just outside Rossmoor. No fuss no frills, just good food served in an unpretentious restaurant. The servers are very diligent and the prices are reasonable.

It’s the place where my wife and I go also every week. It’s her favorite place because now that she is permanently disabled in a wheelchair, it’s a place where she can go and we can eat and she feels “normal”. That’s because they really treat us like family there.

Let me explain the reasoning behind the rating. Food, is just mediocre, bland, lower quality ingredients. Very basic in prep, the breakfast is very basic and bland, be it a scramble, over easy, whatever. The lunch menu is the same, very basic prep, no frills. The prices, well, slightly overpriced for what you get. Ambiance, don’t ask, it’s so uninviting and sterile, it looks like a 90’s conference room at a cheap hotel. Service, the wait staff is friendly and straight forward.

Awesome omelette with avocado and shrimp. Prompt service. The morning crowd today were all elderly regulars, so don’t expect a “happening” scene. Simple, unpretentious decoration.

I’ve eaten here many times with my dad and we love it! The food and coffee are always fresh, and the service is great too! It’s locally owned and the owner is on site as well. I usually have an omelet, and they’re great! Prices are ridiculously reasonable. I hope folks continue to support this local place

My wife and I came here from Rossmoor to eat. What a mistake. the food is terrible and takes too long. The waitress kept touching her noise. They violated COVID mandates and allowed some people who were not vaccinated and did not have a vaccine card in. When they sat I asked if they were vaccinated and the couple said no and that they got a seat because they gave the woman at the cash register a $20 and she said okay sit down and keep quiet, don’t tell anyone . This is such a disgrace.

I’ve just moved to the Rossmoor neighborhood and looking for small restaurants that provide great food with many options. I ordered the Chicken Salad to go. Nice piece of grilled chicken, a few chopped tomatoes, a hard boiled egg and sliced black olives. It is a large salad so I can eat half and save for later. I will go back for another visit soon. The hours are 9 am – 3 pm.

Love this place. The wait staff are excellent. Food was always consistent and they serve excellent salads and breakfasts. HOping they will hang in there until this pandemic has passed. We will certainly be back when inside dining is safe. Not too keen on the outside dining as the customers I ate with are NOT careful, so I’ve chosen not to eat outsie at any restaurant. Take out of course is great.
